Clown was harder in a group because the meter's exploded when you went above 75%, you often ended up stunning/turning your team mates.
The dice roll mech from gate 1, the cards in g2, maze and other forms of group co-ordination (like Mario) is what made it more difficult

the only benefit of honing up to 1520 with the 3 pc brel gear is that you get g4 this week and in 2 weeks for some extra bound gold, but it's not a huge deal, esp. if you don't have the gold to buy the orehas you'll probably need
if it was reset day I'd say you can life skill and get the gold to do it if you want, middle T3 orehas are pretty cheap IIRC, like 15-20g each

If I were looking into it I'd try to look at the stats on what clearly delineates a real mokoko from an alt roster. Like a real mokoko is probably not just raiding and then logging until reset, they're probably spending a lot more time on their main and alts on their roster actually playing the game. May be some obvious difference in doing chaos/GRs there as well since alt rosters are mainly for gold events.
