Hey ya'll! I'm sure this gets asked constantly lmao, but I quit LA back in 2023, and I've thought about coming back ever since because its the best ARPG top-down style game I've played and I fell in love with it. The reason I quit was time investment, the 6 characters and FOMO got to me, and I was playing way too much to be healthy. Is this game currently in a state where if I came back, had 2-3 characters, didn't push the newest content as soon as it comes out, and just played when I can, would I still be able to keep up sort of enough?

I heard they introduced solo raids, which especially interests me, because then that means I can just hop on and do them myself when I don't have enough time to try and find a group that can do the mechs, the raids in LA were my favorite part of the game, and guardians.

Keep up & catch up? to players with 10k hours? not really.
But you dont need a full roster of 6 characters and all the tier 3 raids have a solo mode now. Its easier to manage

If you have a realistic expectation of being in the earlier parts of endgame and not the pinnacle stuff its a lot easier to manage than it was

Lots of qol over time. Little things like just 1 chaos & guardian a day helps

I don't particularly mean keep up and catch up in that sense, I just meant be able to do content after it comes out, even if it takes a bit to get there.

Like, not be essentially hard locked out of some content even if you invest time for a while because the amount of investment is so insurmountable to even be able to do it without 6 chars or many hours played per day/week

Well all of tier 4 is still group content and its still lost ark. There will always be high expectations for people. There is no truely casual play in the real endgame
Tier 3 is to 1620. Brel is old and dead content.
Tier 4 is the popular stuff. New brel just came out at 1670/1690

So from what I'm hearing, then, it seems that if you're fine with being behind a raid tier, or a couple raids behind, its totally doable just playing when you can, doing the solo raids, and having 2-3 characters you work on

I think I have about 1000 hours in LA on my current account, I finished most of the basic stuff like gathering all the runes, and some of the important horizontal content that was available at the time

Mostly. I made an EU char for fun. Im 1640 with the bare minimum gear. I have no cards or anything and im clearly new so gatkeeping is hard. I do solo Thae/Echidna to get by. Thanks to friends here I can do Behemoth (a t3/t4 transitional raid kinda)

I think I'll come back and give it a shot, then! I always loved LA so much, the only thing that pushed me away was having to adhere to raid schedules and pushing for the newest content, the time investment was just too much

It's based upon how much your brand was applied to targets during active hits.

And 10 of them lands with no brands.

Listen, if someone gets hit by scythe, then the meter can't register their damage and also not their brand if that was the case.
