New players, even returning players, are routinely cautioned from even touching alts until the next round of progression events if they are pushing their main with whatever the current event is.

Also the only time 6 chars is "relevant" is if you are one of those players who is, or wants, to spend 6+ hours on the game every day. Otherwise you don't need to push alts beyond a certain stopping point and you can just focus on a single main otherwise and use any lower ilvl alts to feed into the main.

Correct, they run a portion of the QA, something they confirmed themselves. They just make sure things work but the contents of the builds such as game features and such are all SG and at the end of the day we do not know the full nature of their contract but usually the company in SG's position has a great deal of control over what we get.
