Again, its less of a vertical progression MMORPG. Its a very narrative driven game, its more accurate to refer to FFXIV as a RPGMMO because the MMO part is kind of a "later" priority. That isn't to say they don't have a lot of good social features and otherwise, because they do, but they don't full send on vertical progression similar to games like Lost Ark, WoW, Destiny, etc.
