The difficulty comes mainly from the enemies; the higher u go in level, the harder they get (more patterns, added mechanics and enhanced attack, to the point you get one shot even if ur overgeard if u dont dodge or parry)

But some characters also have specific mechanics that u need to learn to play optimally

I always start boomerang monkey and go atleast 302 as a start, his ricochet is so satisfying to play around. Also ninja 302 with seeking shuriken is nice to use early, but you have to fill in weakness to lead somewhere.
