since it's a 5x5 what you do is

and then one bomb into the slot so that the edge gets 3 squares

and 1 bomb between that (or first one) you place somewhere else

i think the board always starts with one skull thats 1 space off from the edge, so you can pretty much always start by pushing that one to the edge
