Fair, to an extent. I see it as a design problem when content is gated behind this pain, though. Which definitely is the case - I'm still only able to play Aegir on my main. So you want your players in their hamsterwheels, but you should be careful not to make them feel that wheel is exhausting them too much, or they might simply quit.

Well. I don't think gear resets as such are happening ever in this game. They're doing some stuff that has similar effects, like the tier advancement, and they try to mitigate the ever-increasing gap between vets and new players with catch-up events.

From what I saw of poe2, my main gripe is that it's a 1-button game. You pick a skill, you push everything into it and then you only ever use that one skill, because using anything else is a dps loss. Which feels kinda boring, I prefer cooldown-based combat where you use multiple skills.
