Class Identity can happen in some MMOs with endgame progression. This occured in WoW with certain expansions. This is ultimately a Korean MMO, so vertical progression is king.

10% chances aren't the problem. The problem is trying to hyper focus on alts when you are not in the means to do so. Unless you are a veteran, or have a ton of hours, dispersing your resources to get more alts up is not practical unless you swipe.

With the way lost ark works, to have a juiced main 6 roster you either need to be grandfathered into the game (playing for a long ass time), or swipe.

Your class has it's full kit. Hyper Awakening is literally a skill you use once per fight. And the T skill is generally a 1 minute cooldown. They added an extra 'identity' to the class, but that is in Tier 4. That's the reality of the game.

well once you reach 1620 you essentially unlock hyper since all you do is north kurzan + fortress for 1640 (no gatekeeping just msq) and then if you're level 60 you unlock the hyper + T questline which is about 5-10mins and then you unlock the skill

so it is actually gated behind level as well as ilvl
