The solo mode versions were deliberately designed that way. You don't get gold from them when you reach certain ilvls.

  • Gold rewards and full material rewards become unavailable after certain ilvls;
  • Valtan & Vykas: 1600 ilvl
  • Kakul-Saydon: 1610 ilvl
  • Brelshaza: 1620 ilvl
  • Kayangel: 1640 ilvl

Clown Solo is interesting. From the testing I have done it looks like you only do Mario 1. Other marios can occur if you are close to enrage timer. And if you don't do much damage to him after exiting Mario 1, the Mario 1 stagger check won't occur. Weird interactions.

Akkan will be hard to get into without any 1580 pieces because of the large amounts of chip damage gate 1 does.
I'd recommend getting at least 1 piece from solo mode which you'll get with the x20 extra mats from the shop

Gives you some extra vitality and health that makes a lot of the ticks G1 have a lot less painful.
You'll also learn some of the red/yellow patterns so you're not as distracted by that whilst also trying to avoid players marked with the opposite colour.

And that's just Gate 1.
The other 2 gates, if you complete it solo, you're well and truly ready for a group version as the mechanics a functionally identical
you're just in a different role / x3 position.

One cool detail in Solo raids is that when the boss starts turning for a second like they're "Looking" for someone.
The AI is turning to face the player in order to do their next basic pattern

The foolproof guide to opening up as many lobby opportunities for yourself as possible, 1) have a respectable looking build, 531, at least some ancient stuff, absolutely no lego pieces 2) have a relevant title from recent content/harder content (recommend eclipse, covetous master, legion commander, phantom monarch) 3) have decent looking gems (for something like a 1620+ raid most people expect partial 9s or a 10 for the solo gem classes) 4) if the lobby title asks for a specific title or req make sure you actually fit what they are looking for and equip the damn title. Most of the time the lobby lead doesn’t care if you like the tooki bang bang title. 5) the more effort u put into the char the better you should aim. If there’s a lobby of juiced 1629s running a thaemine normie they are not likely to take your 1610 non transended 23 elixer char. Find a lower geared lobby and you’ll prob have a better chance. 6) there are other applicants, look more appealing than the average applicant else they will just wait for someone else.

At the end of the day it is the lobby leads decision to take you or not, so just ask yourself, if you were the lobby lead and had to put together a team with a good chance of clearing. Would you take your own character if you did not know anything about the player.

Or yea just find yourself some buddies/put up a lobby and take similarly geared folk who apply and if that means the raid doesn’t clear, well there you go, that’s why your character was gatekept
