Looking for:
A few people who want to help make a Hytale-style sandbox/adventure game in Godot Any skill level is welcome, coders, artists, modelers, anyone motivated.

About the Project:
We’re building a cooperative sandbox RPG with exploration, building, creatures, dungeons, and a stylized world. The goal is to create a fun, evolving game with unique biomes, combat, and crafting systems.

Roles That Would Help:

  • Godot Scripters

  • 3D/2D Artists

  • Animators

  • UI/UX Designers

Not to be a naysayer but if this is a casual, beginner team, might I recommend creating something in Luanti? It's an existing engine for voxel games, and you'd be able to get into building the game directly.

Otherwise, you'd be laying groundwork for a decent while, I think, and might end up with performance issues or other problems down the road if that groundwork isn't rock solid. Voxel games are big.

Do what you want, by all means! I'm just pointing out a path that might be more fun for you.

Personally I would disagree with Luanti suggestion. Minecraft is big because it has no focus. Trove is not, it's basically just ARPG plus inventory, 3D tilemaps, and a block placement/destruction system. Luanti doesn't provide ARPG so why bother. Hytale might.
