Hi! I’m looking for an individual who, like me, is in a position to work either full-time or part-time on game projects together, with the aim of starting to generate an income from indiedev.

I want to focus primarily on the “cozy collectionist”, management/simulation and point-and-click genres. We would decide on a starting project together. :)

Length of project / Scope

6 months or less to develop for first project(s).

Revenue Split

My suggested revenue split for our first project is 50/50 of profits post-taxes, or potentially closer to 60/40 if our weekly hours are very different. I don’t plan on bringing in more permanent members for now, but if we do, we would (most likely) both dilute equally or however best reflects our workloads.

My Role (more about me and my qualifications in thread comment)

  • Project Manager / Team Lead
  • Head Designer
  • UI / UX Designer
  • Writer
  • 2D Character Artist (if needed, but I’d rather focus on other areas)

Your Role

  • Main Programmer - you will be in charge of implementing features and systems via code
  • Be part of feature discussions & brainstorming

I’m hoping you . . .

  • Have enough programming experience to work/learn independently (GDScript)
  • Are happy to work with Godot (or to learn the engine)
  • Are mostly fluent in spoken and written English (so we can work in English)
  • Also have a strong desire to make games
  • Are also in a similar position and want this to be their main occupation or can put in at least 15 hours/week.
  • Please don’t message me if you’re a minor (but nothing wrong with being young!)
  • Any non-programming skillsets are also a bonus, but not required

Get in Touch

If you think we might be a good fit or are in a similar situation, send me a PM including:

  • a little bit about yourself,
  • your skills & availability,
  • what kinds of games you're interested in working on
  • and any questions you have about me or the project!

I look forward to getting to know you!

Additional info

I don’t have other duties to attend to outside my household, so I will work 6-8 hours every day on our project excluding weekends and holidays (and already have been doing so previously).

About Me

  • I’m 25 and live together with my partner
  • I’m able to do this full-time. This is my biggest hobby, but I’m hoping to start making an income doing it so I’m treating it as my job.
  • I have a bachelor's in Digital Media Production
  • I spent some years practicing creative writing as a hobbyist author
  • I have a basic understanding of GDScript and can code simple systems
  • I speak fluent Spanish, Swedish, German (fluent but rusty), and English
  • Enjoy exploring both meaningful and lighthearted narratives, but I’m generally not comfortable with overly dark themes, traumatic topics or NSFW. I also have never been good with horror. 🐔
-# apparently also have a thing for bullet lists

Plans for the future

Ideally, if we work well together, we could continue with new smallish-scale projects once this one is finished and scale up over time, but if you only end up sticking around for this one project, that’s okay too :)

My personal goal once I have the means to (or need to do so legally), is to open and run a small, inclusive studio (or team) for people who might struggle to work a standard job or need special accommodations that make most workplaces inaccessible.

Ping me if you need me to see a message in this thread!

Hello! I am only 15 years old but before you block me I just want to show you my portfolio and maybe I could interest you? I have been making games for 6 years and using godot for around a year, I have multiple projects with a recent puzzle game about trees, it is fairly complex and ill provide a link if you are interested (you can play it on browser), ive used unreal before and unity as well as used lua and love2d, I am not very good at visuals and exclusively focused on programming, i really hope you will consider me even if im a minor

I do not mind what games I will work on as long as all visuals are sorted since I am an absolutely terrible artist and any decently looking visuals i have in my games are all from friends or found online for free
