Hello Future Survivors

Are you tired and burnt out? Making your game, but the end is nowhere in sight? Are you now 36.2 trillion dollars in debt?

I know I am, and I am far from alone for this. It is my firm belief that if we can gather 2 or 3 failures together, then when we crash and burn, we won't die alone.

On June 1st, I gathered a couple people from this server, strapped them on a train, and forced them to make a game with me for 7 days. Many did not survive. Here is the result: https://eeriexanthic.itch.io/a-knock-on-the-door

And now, on July 1st, I will do it again.

What we will do:

Imagine a game jam, but we are the only participant and John Deadline is a chill dude. We get 3+ people, then, for the next 7 days, we make game.

Start day will be the 1st of July. The game idea is not set. I have ideas, but we will decide just before starting.

Your payment:

  • 0 dollars/hr (We rev share any donations)
  • Idunno, wanna play DnD on Sunday?
  • Builds Portfolio and experience. Our main reason for this quick game dev adventure.

What I need to know about you in DM:

  • Send me your past works. Very important.

Who I am looking for:

  • Coder, Audio, Artist (Likely 2D art). Game design will be a collaborative effort.
  • You can be new to game dev, but not too new. I am already new enough. I prefer someone who has worked on something.
  • When DMing me, pretend you've known me for a long time. And say something funny. Extra points if you make me chuckle.
  • I want humans I can talk to. Get a mic and stable internet if you can.

Important Note:

  • If you get caught vibe coding in this project, the Inquisition will hunt you down.

Btw I have another itch game if you want to know what I can do:

What is "vibe coding?"

# latent lynx What is "vibe coding?"

You can google the definition if you want, but to this project, it just means that I want people who doesn't have a heavy reliance on AI when coding.

Not a rule that will be enforced often, if at all, I am not someone who can just sniff out AI when I see it.
