Hi!
I’m looking to build a team of enthusiastic individuals interested in creating a small-to-midsized game. Hobbyists and beginners are welcome as long as you’re motivated and ready to learn 😉 ! Let me introduce you to the game concept.
About the Game Concept:
Tower of Ascension is planned as a rogue like dungeon crawler. Like the title indicates the goal of the game is to climb a tower, where each level consists of a limited amount of procedurally generated rooms that share a theme that affects the art style, enemies, loot and effects on said stage. The goal is building an amazing game loop that relies on getting lucky with the loot, carefully balancing risk and reward, good builds and rewards skill.
Core Features:
Three notable features (amongst many more) are: card based stat increases - you choose the direction your build goes in but are also reliant on luck.
The tower "decays" behind you, limiting your time on any given stage and forcing you to balance the rewards of exploring further and not having enough time to beat the stage boss.
Rare unique objects, cards, secrets and quests that are difficult to obtain but can turn you run around.
On top of creating a unique masterwork I wish to combine and refine the strengths of many great games in the genre.
About Me
I have several years of experience in software development, including developing a small desktop application full stack, working with numerous machine learning and Ai models, as well as several successful projects as a free lancer on top of my employment as an IT specialist and my studies.
I’m a strong advocate for autodidacticism (self-education), especially in the IT field and have a personal interest in psychology and game design.
What I’m Looking For
This is, for all intents in purposes, as much about creating a great product and learning as it is about working in a team with great people and having an enriching, enjoyable journey.
