If you’re open to suggestions, you could fire up a Linux VM and test it that way (or live boot a distro)
Excuse me, but are u selling Windows + V as an app?
I will try:) Thanks for the suggestion
Yeah, as I don't like the windows one at all
Why not?
- Because it doesn't store items 2. You can't disable auto pasting 3. You can't move the window to a custom position (It resets after reopening it) 4. it disappears on unfocus 5. You can't edit items 6. I don't like the UI
- You can't create direct links to websites and files
.
- It does store items inside, unless u mean writing to drive, which I think anybody would much rather preffer to write what they want to be saved instead of deleting anything they copied and which they dont want to keep.
- Wdym autopasting? Im unaware of such feature, but Im pretty sure u can select what to paste from the past.
- Because it isnt supposed to. U can literally tab in and select using ur keyboard, u dont even have to move ur cursor. It is made to be easily accesible, thats why it pops up next to ur cursor too.
- Because it is supposed to. Nobody wants something that they dont actively use to be on their screen.
- Because its purpose is to paste items, not edit them.
- Skill issue, learn how to customize windows.
- Wdym direct links? Like copying an URL and File Path? U can absolutely do that with default Windows.
Extra:
- Note how ur app uses a lot more CPU and RAM than the Clipboard.
- How ur app is a glorified ToDo list and FileExplorer
- And how it costs money to get services worse than free built-in ones
I am not forcing you to use my application, if you prefer the default one I am happy for you :) But I just don't like it and much rather use my application, as a sidenote there are many Clipboard managers on the market who see the same problem and have their customers
Also did you run it on Linux?
Im not saying ur forcing me or anything. Im simply saying that it is dumb and not solving a real problem
Just use a VM bro
I am not your bro and also why are you writing here if you not trying yo help?
Your feedback is noted:)
Because Im trying to help, u even agreed that I actually offer feedback, unless u dont consider feedback as help
And I did help by recommending u to use a VM
Since Linux isnt a distribution, its the kernel, neither GNU/Linux
Building system admin apps and not understanding systems is wild
Crazy rude though man
Hard to see good intentions through that.
There's a good way to give feedback, and it's not with backhanded comments
Did I insult him in any way?
Thanks:)
Did I say you did?
Just be kind 🙏
Even if you don't like the project
You called me, or atleast my actions, rude, and I assume u had a reason to do that
Snarky
Thats called rude
Uncalled for
U dont even explain ur point of view, u simply go on and insult me 😭
You can just say that you don't think an app like this should use so many resources
I will close this topic as it leads nowhere, thanks for the feedback and suggestion of a VM
I hope people would learn to make the difference between art and the artist.
Try with Debian Linux
I dont think an app like this should exist
And others would agree
I think options and innovation are good, as well as practice projects
What innovation does he bring?
As a practice project, it is awesome
But as a product, it wouldnt suffice
Fair assessment
He made it for comercial purposes
How do you close a post?😅
You're stuck here now
I think u should be able to Right click on it and close it
I am a student and make this for my Portfolio
But when you write a message it reopens
