I like making games but a lot of the times I don't know what to start making. So I want to brainstorm some ideas with other people. If we find an idea we both like, maybe we can turn that idea into a reality.
We don't have to decide on a game together, we can just talk about whatever ideas are on our minds.
There are a few genres I would like to avoid like horror, racing, puzzles, and board games.
My strengths are being consistent with my code style, writing comments to describe what my code is doing, and not giving up if I'm presented with a roadblock unless it's RTS like pathfinding.
My weaknesses are implementing good RTS like pathfinding, trying to figure out Blender and how to export multiple armature rigs (arm rig + gun rig) to Godot, large code bases become overwhelming and I find myself struggling to remember where everything is and what my code means when I look at it again in a year from now.
I started learning Godot in 2018 and made my first useful project in 2023 (ValksGodotTools/Template).
Here are some projects I've worked on.
- Space Game
- https://github.com/Valks-Games/Inventory
- https://github.com/Valks-Games/sankari
- https://github.com/Valks-Games/Project2D
- https://github.com/Valks-Games/DialogueSystem
- https://github.com/Valks-Games/RaccoonsRiseUp
- https://github.com/ValksGodotTools/Template
- https://github.com/ValksGodotTools/GodotUtils
- https://github.com/ValksGodotTools/Multiplayer
- https://github.com/ValksGodotTools/GodotPlanets
If we do decide on a game together, I would prefer we started with this template to avoid tedious repetitive setup.
If this is something you would like to do, please send me a DM.
