I'm on the lookout for an artist who's enthusiastic about teaming up for this project that I've been working on for the last 6 months and sharing in the earnings. My name is Andrew, and I'm a 29-year-old passionate game developer hailing from Chile. I've dedicated 8 years to the world of game development, with a concentrated effort on Godot over the last 2 years, having made the switch from GMS 2.
Whether you're a budding artist or an experienced one, what truly matters to me is being captivated by your artwork in a way that makes me eager to collaborate with you. Your passion and creative flair are what I value most.
The game I'm working on is primarily inspired by Adventure Quest, an old turn-based RPG flash game you may have played on the web. However, this game is designed to be playable on both IOS and Android.
Here's what I have accomplished so far:
- A basic turn-based combat system (You hit the "Explore" button and get into a fight)
- Functional inventory and equipment system
- A server running on AWS Europe, operational 24/7
- Android build setup, ready for export
- The game is able to hold thousands of players at the same time
Currently, I'm working on implementing equipment effects, meaning equipping items will impact your character's stats (for example, equipping a sword should increase your attack power).
What I'm looking for from an artist:
Sprites and bone-rigged animations that can be applied to character equipment, ensuring smooth and dynamic visuals.
Basically what I have is the programmed version of the game, with little to no art, so you will be the one who gives life to it.
The project's business model will align with the philosophy that Riot Games has championed, one that avoids any form of pay-to-win mechanics (Skins are not considered advantageous) and still, free-to-play players will also be able to get into those skins by watching ads.
If you'd like to get further details, contact me and I'll be happy to talk about it
