im not trying to be rude or blunt, i just want to let you know for the future. People aren't gonna want to help you follow someone else's tutorial. I mean, it's a tutorial, there is someone already showing you how to do everything. If you have trouble with that, then it just sounds like we would have to hold your hand and do the work for you, which no one wants to do. I'm sure most Godot developers would love to help someone in need, but you have to have some level of competence in the subject you are asking about (even if it's a very minimal amount of competence) so that people can try to give relatively quick and useful advice (though it doesn't always work out that way). If you are having trouble with following a tutorial, id say the easiest general fix is to make sure you are using the correct version of Godot. If you are having legitimate trouble however, you should see if the tutorial author has a community of their own, and try asking a question there, or at least in the comments of the tutorial in question. I would try and focus on learning in general though, procedural generation is a very complicated topic. Tutorials are there to show you how to do specifically one thing, but you should try and learn from there example, instead of copying their techniques verbatim. Try and master other topics before diving head first into PCG.
#Procedural Generation

you are right but i think i explain myself wrong. Im trying to learn godot 4 and i tried to understand procedural generation but the docs about FastNoiseLite seems complicated to me . I tried thinking about adding a func generating tree to the code but like i said im stuck. Im not looking for someone to code me.I was just hoping for an idea to implement to the code
I would tend to agree with Cryptic. I don't really see how this is even a question for a Godot help forum. You have no Godot-specific problem, you haven't shown any code. If you are thinking about ideas for possible alogrithms, Google is your friend.
There are thousands of pages, literal full wikis, about every conceivable aspect of procedural generation.
Without knowing anything at all about your project beyond a vague "I would like to do x", you are essentially asking someone else to do that legwork for you.
okay guys sorry
No need to apologize, you are allowed to ask what you think is appropriate to ask. You weren't rude or demanding. Just throwing in my two cents.
Apology accepted my friend, no harm done, me and silver chose to respond because we wanted to, not really because we were forced or anything.
It sounds like you are relatively new to this sort of thing, so I just wanted to educate you where I thought I could
Generally a good rule of thumb for these sort of help forums or channels, is trying your best to make your question or request as easy as possible on the person going to answer it. This means giving your code with the error if your having a logic problem, giving extra details you think the person would find helpful to answer your question
Or even in your case, at least link the video with the timestamp that you have an issue with
But again, I don’t encourage asking for help on a tutorial in this server anyway
It is just an example
I understand what u guys trying to tell me
thanks for everything
im just gonna start with simpler project
Of course, we were all beginners at some point. I know one of the hardest things is getting started with any sort of computer science related topic
It all seems so daunting
But I think I good realization early on, is whatever dream game you wanted to make
Is far far far more complicated then you could have anticipated
And is likely years away from you if you stay commited
Very good type of project to start with
You could look up, very easy beginner topics, try and complete them on your own, and look up details when necessary (which unfortunately for any one learning something new, is very often)
I would even encourage branching out into other languages and getting a feel for those, but that is a more complicated step, and you should really only do that, when your pretty comfortable with your first language already
Which could take months
