as i understand the idea of a 'terrain set' is a set of terrains that can work together (eg have transitions between them), so if you have a similar snow and grass it makes sense to have them in the same set

must have been a bug then, this option just didn't show up, I just deleted the entire tileset and redid just the snow and it worked this time

could definitey be, this entire way od doing terrains is new in godot 4 so there may be some rough edges

okay, it seems like you can't mark the same tile with multiple terrains at the same time, so I need a new tileset for every variation if I want to use autotiles

alright, you need to make an extra atlas for each autotile if they want to use the same tile
