I've recently switched over from many years of trying 2D to figuring out how to do proper 3D. Currently I'm trying to narrow down the art style for that retro-pixelart-but-with-modern-lighting look. I haven't really decided on one texel density or general amount of polygons yet.
So far my impressions are that modelling this in Blender is very easy, but texturing can be tricky as textures don't always align to pixels, and making them do that can introduce warping or stretching, which looks terrible on straight lines. Diagonals are also an issue if they're on the edge of the polygon, I haven't quite figured that part out yet.
All models are placeholder and will likely change if I manage to make something out of this. Specifically the tanks, as I modelled them after a reference found via google images and can't really use them as is.
