Game's been crashing.

Tried everything.

to reverting driver. updating it to the newest patch.

doing the sfc scan
restore health
scan health
and etc..

even updated my windows to the newest patch.

i dont know what to do anymore.

I just want to play this game.

and if you say to verify game.

i have. twice. even reinstalled it.

formatted everything.

and its still crashing.

problem is. after the intro of the game. it won't let me get into the main menu and and just crashes.

EXCEPTION_ILLEGAL_INSTRUCTION

I've been trying to fix this problem for 3 straight days now.

nothing seems to work by then.

any advice?

Rx 580 2048SP 8GB
16 GB Ram
Nvme
SSD

mind you my cpu might be under minimum required but i was able to play this game for 40 hours.

now i can't play it anymore.

Right now this game is installed in an NVME.

Before it was installed in an SSD.

which is practically the same.

NVME is just faster.

Maybe u need to reinstall it back in it's old spot.

But it was already crashing in the "old spot". what difference would it make if i put there or there?

if you know how I recommend trying to turn off Ram profile in bios.

had this problem on my old pc nothing i changed worked and came across a thread where someone had similar problem on a different unreal game and they turned off ram profile and it worked.

downside lower ram speed and this was the only game i had problems with

I'm just gonna wait for that Vulkan update (if there will be.) or just wait for a performance update.

My pc is at stable optimized state. I don't want to change anything and definitely not my ram speed HAHA

Tbh if a game is making you do all of this.. is it really worth playing it?

I'm gonna go and play Days Gone instead.

Game crashed and lost yet another character to bs its very annoying cause you cant make any progress when you get penalised for stuff out of your control 🙁

I have fixed the problem by rolling back to windows 10.

though in my 5 hours of play through i only crashed once.

Its because i disable "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives" and did not edit it. i have left it on auto ever since.
