Right now shovels are considered a sharp weapon since they can cut off limbs but what if we have the option to choose between blunt mode and sharp mode since the weapon has the capabilities of both when you think about it? And from then on maybe if other weapons fit the criteria we can make those have 2 modes as well eyy. Just an extra layer to some melee weapons gives them more personality and depth is why I suggest this. Please give your opinion on the idea guys.

Actually, it’s not such a bad idea. It can be expanded by adding different types of mouse wheel attacks, like in Chivalry 2. We already have swings from the right and left sides—now all that’s left is to add thrust attacks by scrolling the wheel forward and overhead strikes by scrolling backward.

we definitely don't need 100 moves also

It's an objectively good idea.

Nmrih2 and chivalry 2 were made by the same studio, Torn banners, it's just how we do them that's different.

Since the attack patterns we have now seem to work fine they can incorporate the scroll wheel into the flow of combat in the form of stomps or close elbows or something like that since they already did so successfully in chivalry 2 which is where we got the combat system we have now for the most part.

# low barn He is talking about the scroll wheel being used to open up more combat options.

I guess if they decide to add it I personally am satisfied with what we have now. Adding more moves just feels like it might be unnecessary giving the melees a bit more character seems to be more needed since they are just divided into two categories of damage and some are just doing that damage better than the rest which is not good. Making all the weapons with their own somewhat special functions and reliable would be better.
