When holding a one handed weapon, we're able to shove like normal. When using the flashlight with a two handed weapon though, we can't, I believe that the shove should still be applicable even in that state, and MORE importantly the force behind the shove should be amplified if holding a two handed weapon (normally, that is). Of course, there'd be a good argument behind what two handed weapons should and should not get that extra "oomph" push, comparing the smg to heavy rifles (size, weight, realism, and general developer attention).

I think this is a great idea, but keep in mind there is currently a Perk that makes shoves do damage (amplifying all shoves).
very true, thing is the perk itself isnt very useful unless someone is doing some sort of pacifist run/weaponless run, whereas the "shove" feels more like a "push", so to speak. Shoving someone usually gets them stumbling backward a few feet. If someone were to use something (ex: a piece of rebar, a plank, any durable long item) to shove someone, that force would be amplified a little bit further
True. It would be very useful if we had maps with ledges to shove zombies off. Like maps with rooftop areas and such.
well combat 2.0 should change our shoving with the addition of the kick
