Can somebody explain the game?

Hey, guys! I'm thinking about buying this game, but I still don't understand the game loop in regards to loot. I know you can customize weapons in the field, but can you actually keep these guns? I've seen somewhere that there are ''tickets'' for some of the weapons, but it's still confusing. I'd appreciate a little help!

So, every run, typically when you start off you just get the pipe and revolver, and it's basically different spawns every game. You don't keep the stuff you find but you get credits for doing things around the map, those credits can then be used to buy select items that you can then bring with you every run
