Given that the game takes place in the USA, you're not likely to AK-308 easily around there. Meanwhile AKMs are everywhere.

I personally live the old guns... in terms of "random loot", not only does it make sense lore-wise, its fun to find like.. an old winchester lying in someone's cabin and you sort of make due with it until/if you find something modern later as game stage progresses. ... old doesn't mean bad! It adds some depth to decision making and RNG twists in the game (and the AKM I'd say more than does well enough as a middle ground weapon for zed killing)

I would love to be able to find old Trench Guns with the ability to put a Bayonet on them. Or the KSG23 with its stupid high caliber.
