#add the K Key from the first game and it’s feature along with infection

It sucks that a lot of things from the first game would probably get the 2nd one cancelled. Screw society...
I really want the kid zombies and suicide mechanics in the 2nd.
I feel like it adds a 2nd layer of immersion.
It's not like the kids would be safe.
And, who wouldn't off themselves if they knew they were doomed anyways.
But yeah. I want my K-key fr
I recognise that some players might find the inclusion of a suicide mechanic upsetting, particularly if they've had related trauma in their lives. I'm sure it'd be possible to accommodate such players by including an option to hide the animation and firing, replacing it with something that looks the same as typing "kill" in the source game's console.
That said, any piece of zombie fiction that takes its self at all seriously, is inherently dealing with heavy themes including and adjacent to death. NMRiH as an IP is known for having such a bleak, realistic tone and atmosphere, informed by mechanics such as this.
In the first game, it's a dramatic and realistic way for the last player standing to end the round if they want to, either because they just want to get everyone else back in or because they recognise they aren't going to make it.
Coupled with infection, where you risk being turned into a high-threat enemy in the absence of pills - it's part of an interesting and compelling choice for players to have to make - do they try and make it to the next potential pill spawn - do they go fight until they die to create some space for the other players - or do they K to prevent their corpse from running up behind a teammate and biting them?
It's also often funny, cause haha video-game depiction of violence. Most of us are capable of distinguishing it from the real kind.
Being able to take the easy way out with the K button while infected is merciful, brutal, and one of my fav parts of the first game. Please bring it back ❤️
Not to mention it's also made a LOT of extremely funny moments. "YOU WANT MY GUN? YOU WANT MY GUN? HERE!" Kills self
I know I'm late btw, but it's also a very helpful way for teamwork. Do you want to force your friends to deal with another zombie (let alone a runner) when a bunch of them are giving you a lot of problems already? Having an infected player that can potentially turn at pretty much anytime adds a lot of tension.
This
Yes.
In their latest live dev blog or whatever it is they call it, they confirmed the K key will be making a come back once infection is added into the game
well, sorta. I shouldn't say that in case they meant something else but one of the devs, Maxx I think, said something along the lines of, "if you're infected, do you wanna screw over your whole team with a faster, stronger zombie? or are you going to make a sacrifice for your friends?" something close to that
If we get the K key, and they at the same time say 'Zombie kids? That's inappropriate!' or something similar...

@heady dragon if you don't want to be included in the suggestion, I can remove it if you don't want to
Huh don’t want to be included? I don’t mind if I am or not
Thank you!
I really appreciate it!
Hopefully you get more reactions because of it! I included a link and all
It's under the K key suggestion!
