First off no its not going to be like COD I would like it to be like after getting a certain amount of kills or shots on whatever weapon you are using it will level up the mastery with that weapon , it'll increase your reload speed and fix your hip fire accuracy like the lever action for instance it feels like it takes so long in between shots it feels like you should have gotten at least a few more shots within that time and maybe have the mastery have cross progression between servers so your weapon mastery stays across servers , then I'm not on board with the whole idea of maybe adding weapon skins but if you feel like it have it unlock with weapon mastery . I'll see how y'all feel about this then i'll continue on this

NMRiH isn't an RPG, you won't see being able to level up weapons in order to increase reload speed, etc.

Even then I feel like it would be nice to see the survivors as more as you play become more experienced in the apocolypse they are to survive

This sums it up well. however, IF we we're to do this, make it a choice at the start of the level for weapon proficiency, is it Melee weapons, hand guns, shotguns, bolt rifles and hammer rifles. etc. The biggest problem with this..is it makes a meta and that players have to select this because I select this mentality. since not everyone can be the "handgun" specialist. This goes against the core design of drop in and play method the games are known for.

I think being able to grab attachments would be a cool idea say they would be found in military crates or come with weapons that are found and can be interchangeable to different weapons or maybe they have a survivor zombie that drops munition attachments meds and different stuff like that
