Greetings nil,
It appears that you are talking about the Skill Role Applications, especially 'Lua Scripting' and not the Verification System which refers to users obtaining HD Verified role and Verification Tickets...
Interview (considered and discarded in some other suggestion as well) is too much and would significantly discourage people to apply, moreover many are uncomfortable to have interviews and it would be tons of extra work for us as well. Not to mention, time fixing would be a problem as well since people may have other commitments. Demonstration is crucial to see whether or not your code works, up to you if you wanna use full-stack, frontend or backend code(s) as part of your application. 200 lines' requirement is fine and we ONLY require 1 code which is long enough; both quality and quantity are important so as to demonstrate intermediate proficiency or above in programming. This requirement has been set in stone after a lot of thought and discussion; respectfully, this will not be changed. Neither would the current Application Guidelines be updated for any 'skill roles' in the near future.
