As a member of this server, I propose to revise the application approval standards for offsite HTML/JS programmers. It's essential to ensure the standards uphold the quality and integrity of our community's content and prevent the hiring of less capable individuals who claim to be professionals. I've observed instances where such individuals charge high prices for junior-tier websites and services, falsely promising great delivery despite lacking the expertise they claim to have, which personally I would call scam. It's weird to find myself, a junior developer, capable of producing more responsive designs than those who claim years of experience. By enhancing our criteria, we can elevate the caliber of work produced within our community, benefiting us all.

I'm talking specifically of HTML/CSS Designer and Javascript Programmer roles.

Just to give you some background, when I scrolled to #programming-hirable, I came across a couple portfolios that looked fine on a computer but appeared only partially on a mobile device(like literally the website was cut off). With high hiring price, promising responsive designs, a developer's portfolio essentially represents their capabilities. Therefore, if your portfolio lacks responsiveness, how can you assure others of your ability to deliver responsive designs?

Prolly something helpful would be adding subranks/tiers of a specific skill role. Tiers that could be obtained through commisions reviews score or a further application for upgrading your rank on a specific skill role. Another thing would be enforcing for html/css submission(s) 's showcased websites to have at a responsive design on all screen sizes, as of decent Lighthouse rating.
Like an overall of 80+ minimum

And also if a user posts that he can do fullstack websites and all of that crazy stuff. Ensure that its true, and that they have at least one project having all of that

I'm not sure if it's already happening, but when making posts, it's important to review them to ensure that if the user claims are aligned with what he has actually shared to that moment like in the "past work" section and in the application

Another reason why I think standards should be higher in general and content quality per user should be assured on role application by asking more fields, specifations or examples is because: I could receive a skill role, create a post, and simply jot down whatever comes to mind. With AI, anyone could potentially submit something they've never actually made and end up with a shiddy product generated by AI.

We have also started re-evaluating apps (for categories like graphics where MP posts have examples) of those who's MP posts have been considered to be lacking. However, its not exactly possible to do the same for programming skill categories.
