if you have reached an agreement and nowhere does it say you have to pay upfront, then the worker cannot demand any kind of upfront later

you can refuse to do the upfront in such a case and if the worker insists or cancels, you can open a scam report for scam rule violation 2.2.4 or scam rule violation 2.2.1
