less realistic more cartoony/anime like, well other from flattening flat colours like this, i am clueless so ill wait until they get back to me

i looked up cell shading but since im used to more busy things i ened up with that, soo il be waiting

well, as far as im concerned, anime shading consists of big silhouettes to emphasize the shape of the object/cloth/etc with minimal details, this doesn't apply to anime aswell, but to cartoons

and it only consists of one layer (if that makes sense) though some studios animate it with an extra subsurface scattering (chainsaw man)

and it always appears as hard shading, so you wont see any smudged/blurry parts of the shading, the only ever blur is within that hard silhouette

yes, that's one way to go about it, the issue is im caught in a limbo because the references sent include anime with more realistic shading, then one with minial to flat colours then the roblox one which is a style of its own

the difference between the two is that the left artwork is a render of the character, which will include more details to the shading along with the others, while the right is much more simple to save time on work efficiency and will contribute less time
so this draws to the conclusion
your client wants the shading style of the rendered version of the character, and sent you the picture in the right to be what you should apply it on to
