i think instead of shading everywhere focus on big shadow shapes first
roblox characters are fairy simple so just make the sides that arent faces the light source darker
THEN add wrinkles and stuff to the characters
this isnt rlly the best example but i added some shadows to the drawings (some forms werent clear sorry if i did some wrong) but can u see how making clear hard shadows like this can make things much clearer and less muddy
i also added an add layer to the parts i thought could be hit by light
