Make a duplicate image of the gun and blur it a bit, after that add the same stroke setting you did to the original gun, and then change the fill of the duplicate image to 0 percent
After that add a new empty layer and merge the empty layer and duplicate layer together

First is to put the gun layer over the stroke layer
The second one, for the duplicated layer follow the same settings as i said, but this time i want you to apply 2 gradients
Lets say the width of the gradient is 5 pixels, now make it 10 pixels, and make another one at 5 pixels but it is above the 10 pixels one, and then set that transparency to 0
And you will have a 5 pixel stroke with a 5 pixel spacing of your gun image
After that, set fill to 0 like what i told you and let us see the results
