i think what you need to do is copy the characters and then uh turn them into colors and then halftone i guess

I use clip studio paint and start by choosing references or just making stuff up in my mind to add into the canvas, i rarely do actual lineart because it's a painful process to me so I do something called digital painting that lets me draw fluidly as I can fix mistakes by painting over them or liquifying
