I use Kirta and when I do my effects, I usually use a basic pressure solid brush to hand draw my effects. After that I draw my effects i copy and paste the layer to 2 different layers. I blur the layer below and set it to lighten or colour dodge or normal and the layer above to colour dodge. After allat I hand draw, texture and adjust the effects to make it look better.
