i think the issue is mostly due to the face that these anime games are from a specific anime and they also usually copy the protagonist style/look to make it recognizable. but the issue with it is it can sometimes look out of place

The lineart is quite goofy and simple tbh. Low tier anime gfx just trace over rigs and faces and hairs.

The coloring and painting skill is where most shine
