Hi! From what I know, that error usually means that the app or game you're trying to open is already running in the background. You can check the Task Manager or simply restart your PC and try again.

Please remove the manual .exe first then exit WeMod. Then, try verifying the game files on Steam. Go to your library, then right-click the game. Select Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files. Wait for the process to finish.
Start the game on Steam and load your game save. Wait until you can move in the game before you click Play on WeMod.

i dont have the game on steam, its not the original game, but with another games wemod works good
