Its likely that the SSD just isn’t compatible with your PC. It might be the best decision to wipe the new one and trade it out for one that is easier to manage // @fallen geyser
A list of things that might make it not work:
- Incompatibility with another SSD (unless its the exact same model, which easily can rule this out)
- Insufficient power
- A poor quality motherboard
- Poor quality or incorrect cables
- An error in manufacturing that is out of your control, such as corrupt data or physical damage
The way you word it definitely makes it seems like not enough power is being routed to it, leading my guess for its failure being either 2 or 4.
As long as you know your hardware, you can simply google how much power they take. With that, you can know if it’s exceeding at all.
1.Both are Samsung 870 Evo 1TB 2.I have a 500W PSU 3.Asus prime h310m-k r2.0 (I have this mobo for 4 years almost 5 so idk what to say) 4.I have a yellow sata cable so idk what to say XD 5.I hope not honestly
I have the first Samsung 870 EVO for almost for a month and never did something like that :/
until I bought another samsung ssd, and then this shitty thing start to happend 😦
500W is not nearly enough for two SSDs. I have a 650W and that only barely powers my pc. If anything, you should definitely upgrade your PSU
A SSD consume 2.5W so both my ssd s comsume 5W...this is too much ?

Added on top of everything else though, its likely that your older mobo is taking up enough power for the SSDs to not get enough. Other than a bad mobo or insufficient power, I have no clue what the issue could be
