The best way to pick a board is basically: What do I need from my board, what features does it need and how many ports does it need to have if all those are checked and nothing extra then congrats you didn't overpay
Nope perfectly fine
CPU only should worry if you get to 90C, GPU probs about mid 80s I would start to worry.
hmmm
I have a z490-a pro (ms-7c75) motherboard which means that the RTX 4080 GPU that I just got in the mail will cause my Intel core i9-10850K CPU to bottleneck
So now I have to buy a new CPU and a new motherboard to use the new RTX 4080 GPU....do I need a new PSU as well????
Would help if you would mention what psu you have.
Should have at least a 850watts imo.
My PSU is a 750 Watt Power Supply
I really don't want to spend more money on a new CPU and motherboard.... I would rather prefer to keep the new GPU and just use it to perform heavy GPU gaming tasks because I only use my computer to download anime and play video games with high resolution graphics
Is this everything I need to upgrade or is there more????
I'm assuming I can move everything else I need from the old motherboard onto the new motherboard
Hello guys
Someone know from where I can purchase a brand new RTX 3090 24GB? (NON OC and NON TI)
Asus TUF or MSI GAMING X or Zotac Trinity
I just can't find them brand new:/
AFAIK everyone has discontinued 3090 production because NVIDIA quit distributing the chips to force 4090/4080 sales.
Unfortunately,go and find SH but be careful
Really ?
Sad
Coil Whine on video card is a bad thing ?

Ay then
gl
Looking to upgrade my ram but don’t know witch one to get anyone can help?
Corsair
Also depends what speeds your motherboard supports and how much I can support
My RAM is HyperX. Works fine, got 16gigs for less than $30
I just want to make sure I am reading this right, as I am new to building/upgrading my rig. The only additions I made were the 4070ti and the kingston ram, everything else is my "factory" build. I just want to make sure I am reading it right that there are no compatibility issues, thanks (Also tower is a rando bc it didnt have the allied gaming stinger case but its almost exactly the same.
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/QByGW4
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, NZXT H9 Flow ATX Mid Tower
Use a different cpu cooler
the one I have wasnt listed either, this was a custom build from allied, and I am swapping out parts, alot of their parts are "Allied Gaming (insert part name)" So idk really what my cpu cooler fan is
i really just wanna make sure the gpu is compatible with my motherboard
so i am i have been messing about with custom builds on box and i just wanted someone to take a look and see if its right
and is it worth going from the RTX 3070Ti to the RTX 4070Ti OC
It depends on what you do
If you like to play the latest game at full FPS full graphics, ye, why not.
If you want to do AI / rendering, its also good
but else, the 3070Ti is very good :/
streaming on yt and twich at the same time playing the newest games at the highest without DDLS
so i heard the RTX 4070Ti OC has more GPU memory then the RTX 4080 and what about the 128GB of ram is that too much
how would i go about doing that
Ye, you could go with 64GB RAM
(2 * 32 for dual ram)
Are you using OBS?
ya i use OBS
k wait
In settings, you have the Encode option (for both Streaming and Recording), and you should put it to Hardware.
Software will use the CPU, while hardware the GPU.
I think that you should take HEVC, but Im not sure at all
But take NVENC for sure
Ok, so I think that for the moment, you should use H.264
okay sweet will the 12 core need water cooling
cause Twitch doesnt handle HEVC well yet
thats what it is on
ok
I dont think so. If you have a good airflow, it should do the job.
but water cooling will just be overkill
It depends
on?
water cooling can kill a CPU / Motherboard if wrongly installed
I remember of a "Lasagna Stream", where a streamer have done lasagna on stream
and when he started eating the lasagna with his friend, his computer started doign weird noises
he touched the AIO, and it was burning
the CPU were at 110°C
they custom make the pc
Ye
x)
But so the problem was because of how he installed the AIO
the pump was in a wrong position
and so the pump coudlnt handle this.
but so normal fan cooling would handle well the thing
and water cooling is over kill?
since most of the process (the game + encoding) will move on the GPU, the CPU will have less tasks to do / it will less fry
Probably
when i am in games my CPU sits at about 75-86
what's your cpu rn?
AMD 5900x 12 core
which game?
and i got it on 4,40 GHz bc if i let it got any higher the CPU would be at. about 99-100c
any
oh, its OC?
Try it at it's default frequency
3.7
Yes
the makes the FPS choopy
But check the difference :/
if the fps arent good at all, then ye you should take a water cooling for this case
ya at 3.7 it runs. in game 56-59
56-59°C?
indeed
well what game ?
never heard of it
god of war i would get about 250 -144
Fr, my fav game is A Plague Tale Requiem. They even added Ray Tracing this februrary
wow
but lets take a game like fortnite its one of my testing game i would get like 1200 FPS
anyway what kinda rig you running on
I'm just a student, so try to upgrade my stuff slowly
what u got so far
okay i see you there with the 6-8 core
Ye, 8cores 16 threads
dam
But for the next holidays, I'll work for getting a little of money for buying a ThinkPad or equivalent. My laptop is just bad. It's 2 cores 4 gb ram,
128 gb storage
your lucky when i first got a laptop it was 1core
(but I'll get the laptop for working on it)
Wow x)
Which year ? =)
2014 and i would run games on about 9 FPS if i was lucky
same
dam then i went to mac
Rip 💀
what was in about 2018
from mac i went to a RTX 3060 8 core 16gb of ram 1tb HHD
AI is going to be the death of us
you can tell thats old just by looking at it
heres a little tip of you dont fit a HHD as your main storage a M.2
My first real computer had 8 gb ram with 4 cores 4 threads (Ryzen 3 1200), and an RX560.
hay that must of still be pretty kick ass
Ye
But a lot of these components are broken now
The cpu is broken
The motherboard is broken (since 2021 but I changed it in March of this year)
And the gpu is in my computer
I changed the ram in 2021.
hay could i add ya
The 1 Terra hdd died last year
Of course
HDDS are pretty bad TBH
Still more reliable than SSD x)
But most reliable storage system of all time is tape
i highly dissagree there
whats a good long lasting gaming mouse
I had so less problems with my HDD than my SSD
the one what works for you
what about a mouse thats easy to take apart and fix the clicker
hyperX
I advise you the Logitech G501 Hero
I had it for 5 years, it's cheap (price) and good quality
dont go for logtiech
Why? :/
there are as usless as a broken comdom
Wat do ya mean?
i had one did not even last for a year
Wow
i guess some people get lucky with better parts or smth
facts
Real shit is steel series
All components that my brother had from them all falled apart at the same time
I swear x)
steel series over price all there stuff
BTw @upper karma if you need modding for your games for a stream / custom programs, I can help you with it.
My thing is Unity games
I also used to do FiveM mods for a streamer
mods as in cheats
No
Mods as adding giant spinning cats planes that destroy everything
It's technically possible with my skills
My last mod was a Quake gun that could shoot stuff and destroy doors in a calm car game
so you know what your doing
Ye
And the dev of the game shared my mods!
(I mean, the quake thing is still in-dev)
I used to do that for myself and other people
But I now find that kinda boring
I'm also good at doing subtitles
But like wow subtitles
i am not super geart at it but i know a fair amount of it too edit for others
like fad cuts adding songs in sound effects perfect timing ones stream intros and out and a bunch more
if i record a 3h vid it would take my about 4 hours to edit and at the end of the editing it would be about an hour long. the vid would be
Hello guys, the 4000 series is alright now ? Like the power cable is not melting anymore ? Or others problems are now solved ?
I'm thinking for 4070ti 12 gb or 4080 16 gb(4080 is so expensive so idk for now) and a lot like a LOT of people said that 4070ti isn't worth it for 2k blah blah cheap gpu O_O
Like I don't really get it why some people not want to buy the mid/''cheap'' gpus like 4070ti is a beast in my opinion, especially in 2K res
What do you guys think ?
It was never a problem and people who say don't buy them are mostly upset Nvidia raises the price every year
maybe go for the RTX 4070Ti OC
Ay then, thank you for the answer
4070ti vs 4070ti OC is 120 euros different so not worth it cuz I can OC it myself. Thank you for your answer tho
theres only about 150 FPS diffrents bwteen the RTX 4080 and the RTX 4070Ti OC
na thats why the RTX 4070Ti OC is the card to go with and it has more GPU memroy
yep
i think the OC RTX 4070Ti has 21.4
how much is it for you
for me its like 850£
wow that's a ok price I guess
idk the mspr for 4070ti tho
the real price
oh well I was thinking about a amd gpu but those drivers drive me insane and I never had a amd gpu so I don't want to waste my time and money for something that can't keep the flow 😦
AMD GPUS are shit
and nvidia with big prices but still I love the performance
what card you got rn
for me a rx 7900 xt is 780 euros
but with those drivers neah
i think that is the 20GB one is it?
@drowsy rapids She hates AMD
What xD
you don't like amd gpus ?
Who does?
AMD cards are shit they are weak af and they dont even have DDLS
exactly
If you don't care about ray tracing and dlls yeah go for amd but fr idk why amd doesn't fix those shitty drivers
they have a lot of money fr
stick with there CPUS
and about cpus, I still love intel but my friends ''go with amd, intel si for money and amd for gaming''
I use intel for my entire life and I love it so idk about amd and for now I don't care xd
maybe they are right
I will do a research about amd ryzen as well
maybe some people dislike intel now becasue of those E cores
i have the 5900x and its super good
idk fr
12 core
what about production ?
can you tell me more about your ryzen ?\
cuz it's a beast I presume
@dim osprey amd cpus are ok but if you love intel go for i7 12 gen or 13 or even i9
Ay then
its a 12 core and 24 threds its got a boots speed of 4,8 but i keep on 4.4 bc it gose really hot my FPS is pretty good
And some people are mad, we have wars with ps and xbox, amd and intel, nvidia and amd
so if you want to do a search, do it good
Ay
and betwwen the new intel CPUS and the 5900x there is only about a 30% diffrents
just don't lose your money on something you don't like or it's cheap
that's why you want a great build
amd ryzen 7 5800x3D is a amazing cpu ?
Anyway I see what I can do
For now I have to work for that kind of money and cpu s and gpu s XD
until then, my good old boy GTX 1060 6gb is still working at the top
I believe in him XD
if AMD made a 24 core it will be more powerful then the 13900K
Intel I9 have 8 P cores and 16 E cores so in total of 24 cores
yes
P cores = Performance-cores E cores= Efficient-cores
anyway x2, thank you guys for the tips
anytime just got sure to look into things bc most of the time for CPUS theres only about %20 beween them
I was thinking about i7-12700kf and rtx 3070 8gb I saw a best deal for both
Cpu at 300 euros and gpu at 400 ish
But I hate those 8gb vram on 3070
like for real :((
might as well go for the RTX 3070Ti at that stage
If I remember correctly, Chris told me that rtx 3070ti isn't worth it because deliver 5% performance and 12% power draw (If it was you Chris thank you 🙂 I don't really know who told me this but yeah thank you xd)
oh and I saw a video with Linuxtechtips
He said that rtx 3070ti is indeed not worth the price
but that was back in 2020
Stop unless you want to be kicked
?
Someone started something and was banned by a mod. Nothing to worry about
Which mousepad is better Glass,Plastic,Cloth
Whichever you prefer
Talking about keyboard switches, mice and mousepads there is no such thing as "the best thing", they are extremely highly personal opinion based.
but what about cleaning them and smoothness of the mousepad
cloth u will probably have to clean alot more than glass and plastic and glass and plastic is probably smoother than cloth
They are all easy to clean, it's all about what type of friction you like.
Should I replace/change anything on my pc tower FE (graphics card etc) ? not touched it since I bought it 2 years ago 🤣
The general rule of any PC upgrade.... if you are happy with your performance right now then don't change anything.
whats the best free antivirus
There is technically no "free" antivirus, and even if there are, they won't be as good as paid ones
All I can suggest is, try Malwarebytes with their 14 day free premium trial and see how you go
Yeah i heard of malwarebytes but im just trying to find something better than windows defender might just gofor bitdefender unless theres something better out there thats "free"
there is nothing that's free online
There is already 1 on your PC, just turn it on. You can use malwarebytes but it is NO antivrus it's meant to be used as a regular scan working together with an actual antivirus.
Windows security is MORE than enough you need, it has 1 of the best updated databases unless you go like prenium kaspersky/bitdefender or something.
Windows defender which was iffy at best like 10 years ago, has turned into an actual proper entirely free to use antivirus with an added entirely free anti rasomware which you won't find anywhere else for free to the same extend.
thank you for your knowledge sensei 🙏
Again with the "malwarebytes is no AV". Yeah, this was 10 years ago. Have another look.
They still aren't, They are nowhere near the same services and protections normal AV has. This is why of all AVs you can use Malwarebytes in coordination with another AV.
It defo has an AV feature set now, but if you would pay for Malwarebytes (because to get the AV exp you need premium) you can basically better spend it somewhere else.
There yeah go whoo
thanks Hello, I have this PC, and I was wondering if anybody could tell me what I'd need to upgrade to a 3060.
i was wondering if i had to change the motherboard or anything etc im pretty new sorry
You shouldn't need to change anything
does it matter what 3060 i get
türk var mı
So I asked someone and they said I would wanna check for power supply supposedly
uh yeah it would be worth making sure that you have at least 8 pin connector and that the wattage is high enough to handle it
And how do I do that 💀
Open the case and find the gpu make and model
600w should be fine
Should I go for the 3060 or 3060ti
The ti will be better if you can afford it
wait so ti's are better than normals?
yes
what if its a laptop ti?
ti is always better
W
Hello
Do you need help with something PC related?
No
So 1080 better than 1660
Slightly
Would I be able to post a PC Part Picker build and see if anyone would change anything of it?
For reliability Performance changes. Not cosmetic or cost unless the reliability aspect is the same for a less cost part
I'd go with a RX6750XT over the 3060 anything
i would but a little high for my budget and im inpatient and them shiiiis are hard to find for no reason where im at
ok so i have the H170-pro motherboard and was told i could go up to the 9th gen CPU? i have the intel I7 6700 right now but i was wondering if i could go backwards? example (I5)? also i have to get a new case as well as the case right now that i ahve will not fit a 3090 GPU? can i also use a bigger power supply as well or is it bad for the notherboard? ty
Yes you can get an i5 but I'm not sure why you would want to. A 7600(K) isn't going to be much of an improvement if any.
No you don't necessarily need a new case that will depend on your current case and if it can handle a GPU that big.
Yes you can get a bigger PSU without hurting anything
ok ty 4 the info
two years is actually not that long lol, mine is 1660 super and still runs really good
Oh you replied ok awesome! ^-^
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Radeon RX 6750 XT, Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower
This is what I have at the moment for what I want to get. Don't worry about the windows thing that's just to fill the hole. Anyone have any suggestions for Reliability or Performance changes? Not cosmetic or cost unless the reliability aspect is the same for a less cost part
Personally wouldn't pair a 5800x3d with an air cooler especially such one. They run extremely hot unless you undervolt and even then they are hot beasts. Also be careful with the cooler and ram clearance ripjaws are rather large ram sticks.
If it's a full new build and you going to game on it, then I am not sure you should spend more on your cpu than gpu. Should be the other way around really, like upgrading that gpu will have a bigger impact than getting a 5800x3d which games have to support in the first place.
The gpu isn't more expensive than the cpu though... maybe American website vs Canadian one issue?
are 40 series better than 30 series ?
Question stands for laptop
thinking to get either 3070ti or 4070 without ti
Noted, thank you fella @smoky shuttle 🌹
Was probs a local thing that was happening, ignore that part.
What would be the right specs for a laptop that can actually play monster hunter rise?
It’s your motherboard removed?
i cant remove it thats the thing
the io shield is holding it in
No your motherboard is holding it in lol you put that in first before the motherboard
Just turn off your PC and take out your gpu then take off your mounting screws and carefully move it back
Then your shield will pop off
@trail spire
(im taking out the parts btw) also yes i removed the gpu and stuff
people with the same prebuilt as mine
just popped it off easily
oh yeah its also near impossible to get the front panel off
so
do you know what type like rog msi etc?
hi why when i want to run ark mod this write me this ? please help
srry
Doesn't matter. I hate asus because their warranty service is terrible
I need help before I buy wemod pro, but it doesn't give me all weapons in Battlefield 4
It's an online game, wemod just like any other trainer doesn't work that would be cheating in multiplayer.
Is this channel welcome to newbie type questions in regards to PC? I don't really know much of them
yes
The 980 is a smart choice for outstanding SSD performance. It delivers value, without sacrificing sequential read/write speeds up to 3,500/3,000 MB/s.** Keep your SSD running at its peak with Full Power Mode, which drives continuous and consistent high performance. With up to 600 TBW**** and a 5-...
Apparently the 500GB is cheaper than the 250 right now
250 - $40
500 - $28 (US Only)
Happens all the times with sales
Last time the 2TB version was the cheapest you could get between 500GB, 1TB and 2TB.
got 3060 ti founders aditon
Don't forget to check FB Marketplace for stuff. Got an MSI GE76 Raider with a 3080ti in it for $1,200
🙏
Hey y’all this is my pc I ended up putting a 3060 ti in and now I need a new cpu to kinda keep up with it I was wondering if this is a good enough one (screenshot ) I’ll probs pay someone to put it in
Also can anyone tell me the best cpu I can get without changing motherboards because I’d prefer that if I didn’t have to
If you have the proper cooling etc, 5800x3x is the best you can buy on am4.
I’m going for a 5 5600 so I don’t have to switch
Anyone know if n ASROCK B550M PG RIPTIDE can support an RTX 4090?
Yes it will support a 4090
Does Corsair4000D support RTX 4070 TI or RTX 4080 ?
If you review the specs it will tell you the size of the case and max gpu size/length
AMD FSR 2.0 or 1.0 is good for GTX 1060 ?
Uh when AMD announced FSR2 they said it wasn't a good idea with anything below a 1070
I would just say try both
Rest in peace inevitable obsolescence
can i case swap a dell optiplex
You can case swap anything unless they have proprietary motherboards, then it becomes much harder
the usb headers wont work with any other cases
dell has proprietary connectors for the usb headers in my case
it wont work ill just have to build something one day
Hello guys
Asus ROG Strix X670 is great now ? No burning problems anymore ?
And if everything is amazing, which mobo is amazing for ryzen 7 7700x : Asus ROG Strix X670E-A or Asus ROG Strix X670E-F ?
i want to add watercooling to my pc build, whats the best case, and other shit people recommend?
Are you talking full custom loop or just a closed loop?
Either
If you go AIO, just buy of the any large brands you like that they are all the same anyway except the extra features they added themselves.
got a link to any?
I accidentally tapped on the image and started scrolling on the image displayed, because I thought it was on my Amazon recommendation😭
lol
anyone know whats a good PSU for rtx 4070 ti and ryzen 9 7950x4d? will 750w enough since its hwat im using currently
and will MSI 670x pro wifi compatible with those specs?
Neat little tool. Just make sure to buy a high quality psu, your gpu will thank you in the long run
especially for a 4070 ti
Also yes that mobo should be fine. The 7950x is a AM5 chipset and your selected mobo is also AM5.
suggested PSU wattage is 600-699 watts. If you have a good PSU it should be able to handle the loads fine, but older/lower quality PSUs can have difficulty putting off as many watts as advertised
If you have the additional 150-60 bucks I would highly recommend just upgrading to a 1000W, especially for a threadripper based computer
CORSAIR RM1000x Series fully modular power supplies with EPS12V connectors are built with the highest quality components to deliver 80 PLUS Gold efficient power to your PC. RM1000x PSUs use only Japanese 105°C capacitors, for long life and reliability backed by a ten-year warranty. A 135mm magnet...
I have this for my 3090ti Ryzen 7 5800X build
very solid, plus the PSU is not something you want to skimp on for high end builds
That’s what I got
Thanks for the info! Ill consider
Anyone got any ideas to recommend good graphics cards processors im looking to get a pc build mainly for gaming
I got myself an i7- 13700k 16 cores more then enough. And ofcourse an RTX4090 with 64GB DDR5 - 7200Mhz Together with 2 x 4TB NVME WD_BLACK SN850X SSD
But i play with an 48" LG OLED C2 monitor.
As for my C drive i use an 1 TB NVME WD_BLACK SN850X SSD
Thats basicly it. Ah for headset i use the Corsair Virtuoso RGB Wireless XT Hifi with Spatial Audio for my games and movies
This all run on the motherboard Gigabyte Aurus Master Z790
With an Be Quiet Dark Pro 1500Watt powersupply
How did you get it to run 7200mhz
I got the CMT32GX5M2X7200C34, Dominator Platinium, XMP) 32GB Kit x 2. It runs perfectly on 7200Mhz on XMP2.0
Sorry ment XMP 3.0
Hmm strange I’ve just read alot of people couldn’t get it stable, Not trying to call you for bs haha show me your ram speed in the task manager
I do like how that ram looks tho
Will do when i get home. Not @ home right now
My setup @ home
Only that monitor has been replaced with the 48"version from LG Oled
And got rid of the back lightpanels. Damn things where starting to fall off one by one.
Oh that looks nice
Ehh it's ok. Still shame those backlight panels fell off couple of weeks ago. But it's my gaming / relaxing / work PC
How much did all of it cost you?
Around 5000 euro’s

That's pretty expensive for all that, where do you live, Finland ?!
Netherlands
Those 5 grand is included the Razor Nommo 2.0 speakers and the Wireless headset
Headset is like 250, which imo is too much for it but yeah xD. It's interesting though like all that you can go below 5k rather comfortable and we would be buying in the same market in a sense. Always interesting how prices change so dramatically.
The RTX4090 i got it at launch day wich was 2500 grand
Which now it would probs be like 1.7/1.8
I have built this PC when Raptor lake came out
Could of bought a whole damn pc setup
i buy a brand new high end system every 4-5 years
Most people do upgrade in that timeframe yes
I guess If you got the money to waste that’s fair
Not my broke ass lol wouldn’t catch me doing that
So yeah i save up around 5 grand and at that time i see whats new, whats needed and what helps me the most
I also have 3 crotch goblins to support
Not even upgrade just a single part in the system ?
I do upgrade when I can
Like since I bought my pc couple years ago I put in new ram and some nvme ssd
I have 2 of those and an expensive wife and i have mortgage to pay as well
And a power supply
What's your CPU and GPU ?
But I need a new mother board now
Pretty sure it’s dead
I have a ryzen 7 2700 and a 2060 super
OC
Damn
I’ve been looking at a new cpu and mobo
Too bad you live like other side of the planet, I have legit still a 5800x3d and a 3080 just laying around here doing fuck all, with a tomahawk X570.
What games do you play btw with a 2060 super?
With Unreal Engine 5 games i bet that 2060 is grinding its teeth
It still will do fine, like remember UE5 or not they still have to run on a console too
. On a PC you just turn down the heavy hitting settings and you will be fine.
Yeah but you missing a lot. Don't know wich reso you play
He is just playing the exact same game as you though.
My pc is currently packed because of forest fires burning my town near me atm but I only use two monitors
I’m at 75hx and the other I forget
1080 or 2k I can’t remember
YEah but i am playing at 4k. Dunno what reso you play 1080p? 1440p?
I also play at 4k and a friend of mine which is at 1080p gets the same exp as me.
Even though we play co op a ton, there is no difference between our games fun wise. In theory mine looks more shiny, but that's not why you play a game
Game fun wise is not bound on resolutions. Hell you can have even fun on 720p. I use 4K due to the fact i play RTS and RPG and need max details on a large screen.
It's just how i prefer it. I wanted to go for 55" but i could not place it here on my desk due to space. So i went for 48" wich is pretty ok
lol you still got the price tag on
hahaha still funny
If you have a 48'' on just a normal PC desk then wtf are you doing... just get the 42" version like most of us normal people. Your muscles will thank you... and your eyes too
My eyes do not bother me with this monitor. I prefer it. I saw the 42" at a friends house as he uses it as a TV. But 48" inch suits me better with gaming.
Then you must be at least 2 to 3m away from it.. technically 4.
She’s currently in a box ready to go
I sit around 60cm from the screen +/-
Yeah no way you aren't having any issues with long term usage.
lol for a second i thought it was a cat hahaha
Lol
I got no issues at al. And i have it like a year almost like this.
A desk with an office chair puts you like at least 90cm to 1m away from a screen when put against the edge.
Yeah thats what they all say. I work at the office and no one absolutly no one works that way.
I work at a office and we all work that way, bad ethics then (probs because I actually enforce said rules). Like a normal PC desk is literally about 60cm to 65cm.
So put a chair after it and you always should be sitting against the back, that's another 20 to 25cm and that's just normal human posture at a desk.
Centimetres hehe
Go away with your freedom measurements
True and yes i know the distance between screen and your eyes. But i tell you, i really have no issues at all and like yesterday i was 17 hours behind my pc before going to bed. No problems at all
I kept seeing this dude streaming on TikTok and he would no joke have his face an inch away from the monitor
I am not saying you will be exp issues right now, I am just trying to say in the future if you keep it up.... at some point you will start feeling certain issues popping up. Most likely muscle ache at first like elbows or neck would be rather common. I would just be personally bit more mindful about it, your body will thank you later. You still do what you want though, just a nice general warning especially since some issues only arise after a certain age too sadly. Like a lot of things you won't feel a thing now, but because you do them now... in let us randomly say 10 years your body will say "fuck you why you did this".
lol how old do you think i am hahaha
Uhhhh hard to say
I’m guessing early adult hood
Well
You joined 2016
So close to your 20s
lol thank you. But i wished badly
Count another 22 on top of that
42 here hehehe
I was rather close with the 10 years then
I came from the time of AT/XT systems and 286...those golden days.
My first pc was an i3 and a gtx645
Aside from like the 90s
We had one of those old round shell macs
But it wasn’t technically mine
I have been around and working around with PC's and Servers for 30 years now. Yeah i was 12 when i was hooked and introduced to workstations
Let's make you guys feel old.... today kids: What's a pc ?! Wait you have to TYPE on your keyboard...How does this touchscreen work on this tv ?!
hahaha yup. Ahh and i have been since day one with Oculus. I was a kick starter for Palmer Lucky and got my hands on Dev kit 1 and 2 and at GamesCom in germany with the Oculus Quest Demo i have hooked to VR.
But stopped at Oculus Quest 2 headset. I think we are still not there where i would like us to be with VR
Plus the games are mostly dull and goofy looking.
My Son has his own Gaming PC. He his 9. lol his PC costed me 1800 euro's
Lol mines 10 I just shared mine with him he has his own console and switch
He is like a real addic with Roblox and simulator games
Yeah he loves more Universe Sandbox and he got BeamNG and Bricks and those games as well
His gaming PC is and i7-9700k with 32GB DDR4 and Radeon 6750XT with 2 x SSD 1TB each. Lol and he has only like 5 games installed.
The i7-9700k and 32GB DDR4 was from my old system. I just added a new GPU and extra SSD for disk space. But never realised he only plays 5 games lol. Oh well
yo im trying to upgrade my whole pc
so i can play more triple A games at higher fps
im upgrading to a ryzen7 5800x3d and a 3090ti
and possibly 32gb ram
im doing this to get higher fps at rdr2 on max
Why an 3090Ti?
what was ur current cpu and gpu?
also ru aiming for 1080p or 4K gaming?
i5-8600k and 2070
preferably 1080p in triple A games and 1440 on valorant etc
its close to my budget and good performance
Ahhh ok. I thought maybe better go for an 4080 or something.
its way too overpriced in my country
id probably just play rdr2 and TLOU1
wouldnt prob need a 40 series
Ohhh ok. No with an 3090ti you would do fine. It's just between 3090 and 3090Ti difference is like really really small. Almost in most games not even noticable
oh alr ill see in the future
idk if i need to buy a new psu lol
idk if 650w is enough for my upgrades
ah alr alr
Might be worth getting a 800W PSU so it's future compatible
Always get more go 800+
Oh and U kinda need to change it motherboard to am4 U know that right?
I got a 1000 so that leaves me tons of rooms to add stuff and upgrade
800 is still fine though, doubt that needs an upgrade anytime soon.
Even 650 is still fine technically these days, you just will push your GPU to like 100 % with it if you go brand new high end.
i need help with my game dragon dogma
hi just wanna ask if it's worth upgrading i5-9400f to i3-13100f?
Hope that helped @olive socket
but I have to change my motherboard too?
Hey folks,
I just found out that I will soon be the owner of a new 27" 4k 144hz ips nano panel hdr 600 monitor with dts sound system. I had no idea this was about to enter my life. I seen it yesterday and was blown away with how amazing new monitors are.
Issue for me, is, this $750 monitor will be of 0 cost to me, regardless its about to enter my life and be my primary screen.
My PC is solid in all aspects, but has a value gpu currently, a rx 6600 with a decent undervolt and OC profile.
I was curious, what's the best way to make games look the least blurry when ran through the new monitor via display port.
I guess I may have to experiment myself, but do I likely send it a 1080p source as I play on now, and use high/ultra settings as normal and it'll have its usual 75-150fps range it does now in games.
Do you select a 4k resolution, slash detail, turn on fsr and hope you don't exceed 8gb Vram usage?
It's gonna be months before I am able to buy a card for 4k, and I hate to support today's market, but a 7800xt or something in 3 months is likely what I'll get to fill in the gaps, but til then how do I keep a positive experience on such an overkill of a monitor for my gpu?
Vram won't be the main issue here, the 6600 won't be able to handle 4k at high. So you basically will at mid detail to begin with. Fsr because how it's done will also lessen detail. If you had nvidia it would be rather easy with filters. However what I suggest is play with settings a bit and start with heavy yet not visual noticeable ones first. Then get reshade, with it you can enable lumasharpen and vibrancy. It will help a ton, even I on a 4080 and a LG C2 still use nvidia sharpen or lumasharpen.
Hmm okay, so lowering detail, turning on scaling, and sending the monitor a 4k signal in the end is superior to sending the 4k monitor a 1080p signal and it upscaling it to 4k?
Also the monitor is a g-sync monitor and obviously I have an AMD gpu so that is "free-sync", cost of nvidia cards here is astronomical to amd cards of similar value, should I buy like a rtx 4070 12GB for the price of a rx 7900xt or can I save cost and buy a rx 7800xt and just use traditional v-sync options, or is it to the point that these new monitors don't even need vsyncs and other tech to prevent tearing and can just cap my frames in the gpu driver and leave the "syncs" off?
Sorry I know I am throwing multiple topics at once, need a "for now" get by solution and an actual long term plan to bring this into my life heh. It's a gift and a curse
Fsr would be upscaling to 4k anyway
It will render in 1080p and then upscale it to 4k.
A thing you defo don't want to do is use fsr in a too low setting, like defo keep it at quality. You could get away with balanced on 4k but eeeh.
Hmm alright, that's far better than I imagined. Never used fsr and I thought making 4k work would be a crazy challenge for the rx 6600 heh. Never used it beyond my 1080p monitor
Appreciate the input
Hey folks. I am in a bitof pickle with choosing a MB to go well with Ryzen™ 9 7950X as i would like something within a decent price but with like at least 2 m.2 slots and other decent features. any tips please? thanks in advance!
What do you consider decent price?
Well, at the moment i have the ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-A Gaming WiFi in basket on amazon, for 347E. Anything better around that pricetag? :-?

Solid
about 202 E (assuming you mean Euro)
With M.2 slots, the one you have in basket has two more but I have 2 1TB M.2s in my desktop currently and I have a bunch of large games. Unless you are doing very storage heavy video editing you should be good
the one I sent has a 128 GB ram capacity as compared to the Strix X670E 64 GB max if thats something that is critical as well
The Strix is just paying 100 ish more for two extra M.2 slots

Guys i used ONLY this one on my GPU. Its bad thing to do?? i have no idea.
Why: for cable management if i didnt use that one, case glass wont close.
if you reply please use reply button beacuse i cant otherwise thanks, sorry for my bad english
What kind of GPU are we talking about? If your GPU requires 2 x 8-pin then i suggest you use the 2 x 8-pin cable.
It may work with 1 8-pin, but as soon you play games that asks 100% of your GPU (or 99%) your pc can shut down, BSOD, stuttering etc...
it requires 3x8 pin. I used 3 x 8 pin cable
but Only used the daisy ones (marked with blue circle)
So i used 3 x 8pin marked cable for 3 x 8pin required gpu, my problem is daisy ones less powerful or worse than primary?
nah they're the same as they're made to have the same power
it's fine if you use 3 separate cables and have not attached any other devices on the same cables. these cables came with my psu and i use them as we
thanks
thanks
Should i go for 4080 with DDr5 64gb ram or a 4090 with ddr4 32gb ram ? Rest is kinda the same.
Only other diff will be motherboard, Asus TUF Gaming Z790-Plus WiFi D4 vs NZXT Z690 N5
I would say with the 4080 with 16GB vram. What kind of DDR5 are we talking about? 5600? 6000?
RTX 4090 DDR4 32GB
4090 is pretty overkill in games, so isn't worth the crazy prenium it has when the 4080 basically achieves the same.
At the end it all comes down on: What resolutions you play, how much of RT you wanna use and what kind of games you play. I mean, do you play AAA titles for the eye candy and everything maxed ultra bumped up at 4K, then yeah. 4090 in this case. If you play 1440p and do the same thing, then 4080 will do the trick just fine.
I do that with a 4080 no problem
Cp77 it's 4k, all ultra, including all RT to the max and still have 100fps going for it.
And that heavy is heavy like crazy and it's optimisation isn't the best. Like even the 3080 could do 4k without many issues, same with the 3090. So I am always crazy confused why anyone suggests you need a 4090 if you want 4k, that's just buying into Nvidia marketing.
If you use DLSS with Frame Gen, yeah sure. Without it, you will get max 20fps on Native doing that. Hell my 4090 without DLSS would suffer to death.
It won't at all lol, even without DLSS and FG you still get like 40 fps
Remember your frames get doubled... so half your frames and you get actual framerate.
If I get 90 with them on... I would get 45 without them.
(well not exactly always 50% but you get my point)
Also like how dumb of an argument is that even... all 20, 30 and 40 series can use DLSS, all other cards can use FSR... they are MEANT to be used in games.
But Take starfield (even though no proper full driver support yet of Nvidia, because AMD sponsored), it suffers from performance issues pretty much(also brand new so).... Without using any FSR a 4080 on 4k can pull easy 60 fps. 4090 does probs like 10 fps more than that, so if that's worth double the price idk up to you.
I don't know in wich universe you get at 4K with everything maxed out and in Native resolution, 40fps on a 4080. I am sorry, but there is just no chance in hell for that to happen, if even an 4090 with 13900k and ddr5 at 7200mhz can't match those fps.
rtx4080 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7U1_OBa7S8&ab_channel=zWORMzGaming @ 13:56 min.
Here an 4090 also maxed out native reso: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqN3t4PKZr4&ab_channel=xGarbett it hardly can't get pass the 35fps.
So your pc is a miracle worker or i dunno.

You telling tech jesus is a liar?
Is bold to go against gamers nexus.
But yeah overdrive is path tracing which is a whole different level. So we can cut out that especially since its still experimental. For the rest reread what I said.
But if you want to know even though didn't use it in my example.... Cp77 native 4k rt ultra no dlss at all which idk why you shouldn't... You get about 30fps on a 4080 and 35 on a 4090 and you paid double the price for that. So rather than going to random points and not addressing the core, again I will ask the question.....is that worth the price increase.
Hello i have a pc with a RTX3050 And CPU AMD rayzen 5 3600
MPG B550 Gaming Plus motherboard power supply 500w and a budget of 1000€ i want to upgrade my pc anyone have an idea
My message got deleted as I just finished typing it...anyhow I would recommend a Ryzen 7 5700X, a 3070TI and a 750W psu which comes out to about 760 Euro on Amazon.
apparently I cant post links. But all of those items are on Amazon. a PNY or MSI 3070ti with a thermaltake 750W Psu and the Ryzen 7 5700x. Leaves some wiggle room for if you need specific upgrades like a higher quality gpu or cpu, or more ram or a better monitor etc. Still with that combo it should be a massive upgrade
Also a bit for tax/shipping depending on your locality
see my messages above lol
i need a good SSD, any suggestions ?
Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD 2TB M.2 NVMe Interface PCIe 3.0 x4
Samsung 870 QVO 8TB SSD 4-bit QLC V-NAND SATA III 6Gb/s 2.5" Internal Solid State Drive
these are the ones I am using
got 2 970 plus and 4 870 QVO
got any links
you got micro center near you?
i dont
im from england, so theres not much
Sequential Read/Write performance reaching up to 560/530 MB/s provides best in class performance via the SATA interface. Accelerated read performance up to 13% faster than 860 QVO for added benefits for everyday computing. 870 QVO provides adequate amount of TBW for daily use, equivalent to 3 bit...
QVO is a bit expensive but worth the storage and writing speed
they just for laptop or no?
i'll check it out thnx
doesnt it have to be compatable to my specs as well?
is mine
aalright thnx
Hey everyone! An opinion would be helpful. I'm starting a build consisting of a Ryzen 9 7950X3D, G.SKILL Trident Z5 RGB 64GB x2 (128GB) and I'm not 100% sure about the GPU, imo a RX 7900 XTX is enough although RTX 4090 is quite a bit better
I mean 4080 would be good enough too, I still don't know why anyone would buy an AMD GPU or CPU in this gen except if you are an extreme budget(for the GPU, because CPU is more expensive).
Fyi I mainly play survival games and RTS
AMD is going massively backwards than innovating, their AM5 is still such a mess... shouldn't even have been released to the public.
I see
The sole purpose for going AMD is the prices on NVidias gpus in all honesty
But if you really want to pick between the 7900 XTX and the 4090, I would say do the 4090 just because it's better in literally every way... however keep an open mind for the 4080.. It's basically a 7900XTX but it actually can do Ray tracing and has DLSS as an option.
Also they at this point cost nearly the same
That's pretty sad
a RX 7900 goes for 800~1k and the RTX are rounding the 2k+
If the 4080 is 1k more than a 7900XTX, then just get the 7900 tbh.
No GPU is worth 1k more for the 5 extra frames and sure you get better Ray tracing and upscaling... but spending 1k more for that ? Nope thanks.
Yeah my thoughts exactly
It's because here and also in US the 4080 and 7900XTX are relative the same in price now, so it makes more sense to see 4080 as an option
Yeah I'd say it would
The US is pretty cheap PC building wise
Not here though
The build I have in mind is rounding about 7k in total price
Yeah mine is about 2.5k ish and it's a really high end system including with a 4080 and a 13th gen so rather big difference for basically "worse"
Let alone having chosen an RTX instead it'd go up to about 8.3k or something
Yup xD
Well anyways, off gaming with buddies thanks for advice ^^
Have a good one!
are you in the eu/uk? That seems really expensive
Europe yup, Portugal to be more precise
How is Portugal triple my price lol
I already live in 1 of the most expensive countries in Europe xD
Never went to Finland ? They want your kidneys for a glass of water
Been to Sweden and Norway
Soo yeah I'd imagine
Haha
Not going back to Norway that soon, that's for sure
I can help you in #wemod-support
4070 TI Asus TUF is worth it for 1k euros ?

last year,I wanted to upgrade to rtx3070 but I changed my mind with 4070TI
It will still be 1k after VAT.
I always forget about global shipping. My bad
Thought he meant not including that
Yeah was just to confirm that he will basically pay the same
AMD Ryzen 7 5700X is it better with RTX 4060 or RTX 3070TI or RTX4060TI
and what psu should i get for this
3070ti is slightly better than the 4060ti. As far as PSU your current PSU may be enough
Whats thr best ssd and price for my laptop I have a Lenovo Legion 5 Pro laptop and I wanna upgrade the memory
Do you want to upgrade the storage or the ram, because that sentence says both
U can try out the SABRENT 8TB Rocket 4 Plus, its very cheap 😉
https://www.amazon.com/SABRENT-Internal-Extreme-Performance-SB-RKT4P-8TB/dp/B09WZK8YMY
Can I put an RTX 4090 on a B550M motherboard?
Or do I need to upgrade? Someone help me please
Why wouldn't that work ?
Maybe it was incompatible, I don't know, I was worried but thank you
Hello! Again I really want to get into PC gaming. Frankly I don't know where to even begin. I have a basic understanding but long story short. Perferably something affordable but van upgrade down the road. Any recommendations? Yes I wanna build it from scratch. Just have trouble finding parts. My budget is $500
$500 isn't going to get you anything good, I'm afraid. Easiest way to figure out what you want would be to use PC Part Picker to pick out parts that could work together, then find the cheapest prices online
I am willing to pay higher good thing I have a decent paying job 🤣🤣. I'll check it out. Thanks
You can get a decent PC with 500 though.... like a pretty good one even to play games. However you will have to use the used market for it.
Yeah, PC Part Picker's PC builder is pretty good for determining what works and what doesn't
Mm, decent is stretching it
Nah decent....
Ah, but then again, I'm probably thinking $500 AUD
It will run games better than a Xbox or PS5
Uhh, doubtful about that...
Like you spend about half of the budget on a GPU.... a GPU for 250 is actually extremely good if you think 5000 series and 30 series.
Those plastic boxes are nothing more than about a 1070 remember.
I saw a video about it. I wanna send a li k but it won't let me
Is that reddit ?
Yeah.... go watch gamers nexus
He did actual proper comparisons and his conclusion was.... the performance and settings are basically a 1070 but it's complicated oh and it can do kinda RT but it really can't handle it properly.
We matched PC graphics settings to a PlayStation 5's 120FPS Mode, then benchmarked PC hardware until we found a match to the PS5's framerate (FPS) performance.

Grab a GN 2020 D...
The PC was outpacing that PS5.... it was a 3300 with a 1080.
His test overall were made harder because of resolution scaling with consoles... it was clearly running below the actual resolution most of the times vs the PC.
Overall that PC was about 500 USD and it was still matching the PS5 and outperforming it in a lot of areas. So the myth of you can't get a PC for 500 that outpaces a console got destroyed that day. However it is also very very very important that this isn't a pro or anti PC/console thing.... they are just different.
His conclusion was basically this: An affordable and accessible living room box, equivalent in gaming performance to a mid/high end PC 5 years ago. So basically buy a 20 super GPU and you are already above what the PS5 can do.
I seen plenty of PCs low budget can do so much. So I will definitely keep an eye out. Especially the setup I found. I DMd you the link
I wouldn't still advise you to go for a 500 budget build though unless you really can't. If you want something that will last you a bit I would say 750 is a nice level budget to begin with.
I can do that. I'll have to budget carefully bit it is not impossible
I wanna upgrade my Lenovo Legion 5 Pro laptop ram and memory what brand should I buy
How you mean RAM and memory ? They are the same unless you mean storage and RAM
But RAM really anything works, all RAM is produced by only 3 companies anyway. If you really care about the best value stuff. Just go corsair, they are 1 of the RAM manufacturers and price their RAM rather nicely.
? i have 7000000 hezar toman (140 $)can i buy anything
my graphic is gt 1030 (2gb as normal )
my ram is ddr 3
my power is 220
my cpu is 4590
i cant upgrade anything
but i dont know can i buy a pc ?
when i sell my pc i can get another 150 $
then i have 300 $
i think i can only buy a 3060 😐
I would buy a motherboard and cpu first then ram pcu for motherboard case then gpu
That’s what I did and it saved me time and money in the long run
Spread out purchases and get the pieces on sale for the build you want
hi
i have a gpu rtx 3060 12gb and 32 gb ram and have 7 fans and a 650w powersupply and have a gigabuyte motherboard and a 256 ssd and 4tb external storage hdd and 2 tb internal storage hdd
but it can barely run minecraft
i get 30-50 fps in minecraft 1.16.5
my old computer with none of theese parts can run 1.19.2 at 60 fps
any help i could get
and also my ram is ddr4
i think its barely running windows
chrome takes so long to run
what should i do
This is because Minecraft java in very poorly optimised
I recommend looking into sodium which drastically improves performance
Sodium and s better option then optifine
anyone know how to fix this it happens when i start pc and have to restart the pc to fix
I already tries that
its not only minevraft
its the only game it could run at 50 fps
all other
gets 1-10 fps or crashes
@harsh maple
Then all I can currently think of is driver updates
I'll look into it
Cpu?

Yes it is expensive here India but offline it will be less only man
I am telling about this graphic card man it lesser than Asus.
alr get that then
Ok but it is good know man gigabyte
But Asus is so expensive man gigabyte is lesser than Asus man.
Depends where you live
Here it really doesn't matter which brand you buy....they all have the exact same warranty.
I wouldn't go AM5 though, that platform even to this day is buggy asf.
That's why I used an Intel system in the listing and also because cod compatibility issues
All thanks everyone for saying that I will go for Asus graphics card
Thanks dude for the advice now i go for Asus only.
Yeah no problem! I’ve had all gigabyte brands and had horrible warranty claim experiences.
