There have been some issues with Nvidia's drivers this year. Some, like me on the Titan X (at the time) had a black screen, for others it was a dramatic frame drop. Download the December 2024 driver for your card from Nvidia, and during the (custom) installation, check the box for 'clean installation', as described here: https://discord.com/channels/210900612231987200/1411689786560745684

Yeah, unfortunately that is the way of this driver bug. When it happened to me, I did not think to check that the graphics driver was the cause and was enlightened from someone from another Dc server. Never had the issue again after clean-installing the Dec '24 driver. I have since gotten a new rig which features a 5080 ...so far, no issues with the latest drivers 🤞

If you are anything like me (and many others) clicking the update button is a knee-jerk reaction. I would keep that Dec '24 update saved somewhere, in case you need it again ;o)
