I’m assuming you’re referring to Palace Guards? No, they don’t need a nerf. They’re suppose to be one of the most dangerous drone type enemies in Horde. They even pick up weapons off the ground or from a weapons locker (which by the way, is a funny sight to see) and deal twice as much damage than the previous enemy who used that same weapon. For example, they can instantly freeze you if they’re carrying a Cryo Cannon, mow you down quickly if they’re carrying a Mulcher, Trishot, or even smash you with a Breaker Mace.

The Palace Guard is a wonderfully unique and yet menacing enemy. They’re also one of the highest ranking Locust enemies of their hierarchy which in return makes them one of the most dangerous enemies in horde as they should be. It’s in their name. Why nerf such a good addition to the enemy variety when they’ll just end up to be another Theron type enemy? To be honest, they’re really not difficult to deal with.
TBF, sounds more like a skill issue
I love how you can't voice an opinion about Gears of War without it being a "skill issue". Horde doesn't take skill, it takes time and technique. Palace guards shouldn't have more health than a boomer from gears of war 3. Sorry that's not a thing. In gears of war 3 you could kill plenty of them. They were harder to kill for sure but to think that in Gears 5 they are SO much harder to kill. I've played over 93 days in this game, I know what I'm talking about. I've played a ton of horde and the Palace guard is my only issue with horde
So you don't think that if a Palace guard picks up any weapon they can't kill you faster than any other unit in the game? O issue there right?
I have zero issues with Palace Guards because they’re really not that difficult to kill. Especially considering the amount of classes that are more than capable at killing them. If you’re playing on Master difficulty then it’s no surprise that Palace Guards are significantly more lethal and have significantly more health than the average drone. Do you expect them to act like any other enemy and not have its own unique ways of killing? Any class that deals bleed damage can easily kill them. As a matter of fact, any class can kill them easily with flash grenades since you can meatshield them while they’re stunned.
I disagree about “Horde doesn’t take any skill”. If it didn’t take any skill then people wouldn’t have complained about the difficulty being, well, too difficult in the past, but they did. Horde was much more difficult around launch and after, but it has since changed. You also contradicted yourself by saying, “it takes time and technique” which is equivalent to… skill?
Well I just loaded up a game on beginner difficulty and for some reason they have way less health, I guess I was playing on Master when I was having issues with them. On Master difficulty they have crazy health but then again everything does. So I don't know what I was talking about. Maybe I'll have to play another horde game on Master against the Palace guards to know for sure
