i never quite understood this new rating system but its not working for me.

so i play a few ranks before and after we won the match and everything it turned out that 1 guy was cheating and he got banned so i got rating removed from those matches, even though i won and they were cheating.

after that another cheating party where 3 of them got banned and i got no rating back why? can someone explain? bcuz it seems fair if i lose rating after i won a match why wouldnt i gain rating after i lost a match unfairly?

pls i need a clear answer if it's not possible here i talk to devs in game

The first situation is normal. Matches that have included a banned player, no matter on which side, do not count, hence why your rating is put back at pre match values. Starting from 1.48, a game usually ends immediately when someone is found to be supposed to be banned, resulting in no gain or loss on either side. This is essentially the same thing, just after there has already been a win or loss (the win usually being on the side of the team that had the cheater), in the end it does not matter as that match is technically erased from existence, and so all players ratings are set back to what they wouldve been like if that match hadnt happened.

If you would've lost, you would've received your rating either way, and this solution ensures that the other people not cheating are also not punished for not getting a fair game even though theyve likely wanted to and that its not possible to abuse the system to gain free rating. tldr: better to potentially give rating to bad apples rather than remove rating from innocent players while not allowing for potential abuse through getting free rating. hope this clears the confusion cause you are not the first one to want an explanation for this

About the second situation, all of these players are currently only temporarily banned, so its likely their accounts are currently being checked into. If the bans turn out to be valid (and become perma bans), you will get your rating back

the thing is in the 2nd case as u said i lost the match 3 of them got banned and i still lost rating...that doesnt make sense.
it would be fair just lose the match i lost rating additional bcuz they got banned and temp ban

Those are from past games, they are not associated with the temp ban game

Would also explain why it’s 47 points cause you don’t usually lose that much from one single loss

It just popped up at an inconvenient time that makes it look like it happened for the wrong reason

There can be rating adjustments for ranked games that are beyond your visible game history so it’s possible that someone from a very past ranked game, who was on your team, was banned

Okay again: that screen did not pop up because of the game where you lost against the party of temporarily banned players

i checked at the time every single game i played and the only one players got banned was the ones i screenshot

It could’ve been any ranked game that has happened starting from November 18th basically

Well, like I’ve explained, the rating reduction screen could not possibly be from the temp ban party game because 1, they are only temp banned and 2, a 47 rating loss in one single game doesn’t sound very plausible

So it is definitely related to multiple different games that included a cheater

Even while unranked, you have a hidden rating

Nothing changes essentially. The only impact anything has on it is your past rank, letting you start off at higher ranks

this was 2 games i played first and lost and got that rating then i played a 2nd game i got the rating on 2nd image u cant say i lose that much rating in 1 game

You’re just assuming that because you mentioned it popped up after the match, and I’ve already debunked the connection with the temp ban fact
