You can try the following workarounds:

Update Google Play Store , Play games & Google Play Services.

Device settings → Google → Pick your Google account to which the game is linked to → Account Services → Apps Connected → Critical Ops → Disconnect → Reopen Game → Login with your Google Play account again.

Note that this is a google issue and that the solutions above are just workarounds. If none of this works then contact google support.
