Do you have DX12 enabled in video settings?

I do, on the main menu its fine with 100% gpu usage and over 120fps when playing my cpu reaches 90 to 100% and gpu 40 to 30% is it the cpu causing it?

That's correct, if your CPU is maxing out, your GPU will wait for spare resources from the CPU and that results in lower FPS. Which i5 model do you have?

sorry on the main menu its between 70 to 80%

And when you close Chivalry 2, what's the usage there?

i think it started with the reinforced update

2% on desktop

That's odd, boot up the game again, return to task manager and expand the Chivalry 2 process like so and take a screenshot

the usage increased to 85 now

I'm not entirely sure then, would like to see what other people get in terms of usage with similar CPU's as I feel that isn't normal. In terms of fixing it, it's probably just worth trying the general validate files thing
