This has to be one of the most inconsistent and infuriating multiplayer experience I have ever played.
I see way too often hits go trough people whitout dmg, counters not working, weird input queues messing up everything, hitboxes just being broken (like sometimes they litteraly alter themselves), swinging and wep speeds altering themselves and the list goes on...

What's your ping in these servers normally? And do you have wired or wireless connection? Alot of times, shit doesn't connect because of that, on top of being a buggy issue
I haven't recorded anything yet but yeah the netcode has been awful
I don't know why they haven't added mod support + server hosting
would let them focus more resources on other things while the community solves the terrible server issues

Bitrate limit so everyone is on the same foot whitout the fat latency issues at high level
Make it so weapons can’t bypass counters with adjusted tracer speed

It's still the best game on the market for the genre. Why lose hope? Everytime I play, I can barely even get in my region there are so many quick play servers
You can understand the base mechanics and completely know nothing about the technical aspects. Why not have 256 players? Why not have 1000? Why not have everyone have capes and 900 different weapon animations

it's my maximum visual clarity+fps config, mostly tuned to reduce gpu load to what extent I could while being a mostly clueless non-dev who isn't particularly familiar with UE4 😂

I have a 5800X and a 5700XT. I'm just targeting 160 FPS 1% lows while capping at 164 FPS on a 1440p ultrawide. Most of the settings changes are to offer maximum visual clarity though, even the awkward lighting, and it works.

that is what happens when the body leaves the soul behind and then resyncs. Collision remains at the original spot, the body becomes unhittable but keeps moving, and then the player teleports back if they do not disconnect or get killed.
you can kill desynced players by finding where they actually are through walking along their path until you bump and then killing their invisible soul
