Screen turns black, never unfades when loading in

Do you remember which map? And where you died? It happens most to me when crawling into water while downed.

I've had this happen before and it seems to be linked to either Deserting or the Forward Spawn mechanic. Hasn't happened to me for a while, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

happened to me on Coxwell after getting timed out for desertion cause i was chilling in the church instead of pushing forward

Usually when I get the black screen I can F10 and the screen comes back upon next respawn.

yeah, not to hijack this thread for a different issue but i think it's pretty relevant to complain about how awfully overzealous and broken the entire desertion mechanic is as implemented in chiv 2.

also, yes, i can also connect this to environmental deaths as this has happened to me when falling off the lionspire bridge, into the water on falmire and galencourt, as well as the spartan pit in falmire too.
