ChivalryMW had tons of weapons, and while I do not feel every weapon needs to be brought over to Chivalry 2, there were some unique weapons that have not made their way back into our hands. These are the weapons that are unique enough to where they absolutely need to make their way into the game (in order of which ones I want added first) as well as where they belong in the subclass meta:

- Sling (Skirmisher exclusive weapon)
- Flail (Guardian exclusive weapon)
- Quarterstaff (Man At Arms exclusive weapon)
- Brandistock (weapon skin for the spear)

I feel that not only are these weapons fan favorites from the original that are now missing, but they are also significantly more creative than some of the new weapons that have been released (except the Katar, those things look fun). Why add a bigger Greatsword, or a Heavier Crossbow when you can add new, unique weapons that play differently from the rest like you did with the Rapier and Katar? Bring back legacy weapons!

for example, the Sword of War from ChivalryMW was added in Chivalry 2 as a skin for the Longsword

and the Zweihander was added as a skin for the Greatsword

The main idea behind adding legacy weapons is to add weapons that play differently in unique ways compared to other weapons

Weapons like the Highlander Sword and Heavy Crossbow are not unique. Sure, I'm glad there's more options, but they're not special

Basically the Spear but it's swing is actually a swing, and it's overhead is like a stab

Btw I think the skirmisher should get the sling. It would provide a new weapon for skirmishers, of course. While Bowmen got the warbow, crossbowmen get the heavy crossbow, and the Skirmishers get the sling to doink fools in the head

Unfortunately unless a weapon comes and does something different or unique, most of the weapon types have already been cornered in Chiv 2 and skins are the only destination for anything not here

That would be tough on servers and desync. I think it would work better if it had set animations like the classic game. And jelly when its not in swing

but even without the extra state, flail would have to be unique somehow, since theirs pretty much already a combination of every range, speed, damage, and damage type in the game already. If it just had a different animation pool that would be completely overpowered, it would break the rythmn of the game.

For clarification, in chivalry 1 vanguard was the class with medium health and medium speed. In Chivalry 2 the class with medium health and medium speed is the footman, so he has the pole arms
