#Cross-platform parties

They're already planned.
For over a year and nothing yet. Keep disappearing from roadmap and update lists.
They were supposed to be included in the upcoming Reinforced Update but have been delayed. I don't know when they're coming, but they are being worked on
They were supposed to be in the first ever patch over a year ago.
THERE WAS NEVER A GUARANTEED TIMEFRAME!!! If you actually read all of what TB says that cross-party can be delayed if more bugs get reported. I case you haven't noticed there a lot of issues with this game. You really think adding more shit is a good idea.
And yet they’ve added more content instead of fixing bugs. Bugs from a year ago are still in game.
Yeah it takes time to fix shit. This isn't the movies where shit is fixed overnight. And content is not as difficult as implementing cross-party.
They already declared few times the cross-platform parties are coming. Firstly after the game released a year ago - they said 'soon', and lastly at the release of the latest update - they said 'in the next update, which is "Reinforced"'. Why would anyone promise something and then keep on breaking the promise? I thought this is not CDPR with their infamous Cyberpunk.
The people working on maps and skins aren't the ones working on cross platform parties
I will grant you this, it is taking significantly longer than it should and that is extremely unfortunate, but it is what it is.
They are confirmed and being worked on by Torn Banner every day
This is because they tried to satisfy people but they underestimated the mountain of spaghetti in between them and what they want to implement into the game
As the Mason MAA say: NEVAH!!
But seriously, we really need this ASAP 😩
Thank you all for your help in bringing attention to this game feedback.
Chivalry 2 was advertised since before launch as “fully cross-platform” and this was the primary reason that I purchased it. While cross-platform party functionality was not explicitly made a part of that promise, it is still expected by many customers as being essential to that feature.
Torn Banner engaged in misleading advertising in order to boost sales, and it can reasonably be assumed this was intentional.
Now, as this launch feature (along with simple bug fixes and simple gameplay improvements) has been continually teased and then pushed back for well over a year in favor of content expansions, it’s become increasingly clear that this corporation has taken advantage of its customers and ripped them off.
They seem to have every intention of generating sales, yet no intention of actually delivering a quality product.
TB wasn't misleading in anything. They advertised that the game has Cross-Play support which it does in matchmaking. TB said it will eventually support cross-party at later date. Cross-party never had a guaranteed timeframe and TB also said that cross-party could be delayed if more bug problem continue to come up.
To be fair 99% of players do not care for the novelty of cross-play unless it means they can play with their friends. It took Torn Banner a little over a year to give friends on different platforms the ability to play with each other.
Why would I care about the game being cross platform if I can't play with my friends on console? All it does is serve to prevent the PC version from utilizing cool features like smoke bombs or 64p with horses
Exactly!
I want cross party support more than anything else
Hello,
I've a question concerning the cross platform party, I've advice this game to my brother who's playing on PS4 while I'm on PC and we can create a party...
I've seen that the feature should be implemented on the 2.6 patch but nothing related to that in the note... so I went to the trello and see that the feature is no more in the current patch but in future dev... have you any idea of a probable release ?
We are really disappointed as we spend around 40€to buy this game to play together...
😂
the feature has been indefinitely delayed. it is their main priority but it has no planned release date
I agree. It is really disappointing…
It's like, I own a development company, so I truly understand that something can be complicated to implement, specially because it seems there is no unique id provided on console, and they have to implement a referential with all the security it implies... but there are many post on the web that announce a release with the cross party and even screenshot, I don't think it's fair and a good way to simply remove this evolution from this famous 2.6 and 2.5 release without saying anything about it ...
