This is the craziest thing I've seen in this game except pitch darkness during the day in Alphas 18-21.
Plants were growing and they increased the mass. When I returned to my base the roof was gone!

that plants gain weight when growing
so your roof that was ok to hold farm plots, and seeds, even seedlings,
might not be ok to hold full grown plants
