Group of people I have been playing with, we have tried a few 16k maps, and they never work out. TFP does not support them, the game engine cannot handle it, doesn't matter how good your server hardware is.

We have had to stop playing on every map above 10k size because chunks do not load properlly, random crashing, and host of issues likes zeds stalling out. I would strongly encourage server owners to go no higher then 8-10k map. I have seen a few servers that were 8k size using bigger cities, and they worked fine.
