and let me kill 966 (with the flamethrower i mentioned prior)
a flamethrower wouldn't mesh with the tactical shooter genre of the game, nor would it be easy to balance (as the devs explained directly in the 0.16 devlog)
966 would be interesting and could probably be implemented with reused code from memetic vision/night vision although the developers have shown zero indication of having 966 be relevant to the plot
it would be cool to have a level segment where night vision is forced to be utilized in order to counter an enemy, however, again, im not sure why they would prioritize 966 over other anomalies that likely have more prominence in the lore
for instance 610 and 940 are relevant because they are contagious and are used as bioweapons by the foundation as well as experiment for the creation of other modified anomalies
and from a meta perspective, they're horde anomalies that can appear extensively without feeling out-of-place
moreso just from a gameplay perspective 966 would be an interesting run in mid mission
And the flamethrower would be a fun command gun
I want more damn flamethrowers in games
It would be difficult to add
So if they were to add it, it would have to be used in the game
arson against a foundation owned facility / outpost would be a sick asf mission
